I'm pretty sure Linfield and Pacific are the only schools in the conference who charge for their feeds.  Willamette, L&C, and Whitworth are all free video.  UPS and PLU only do audio, which is also free.

If week 1 is any indication, the NWC could be really, really deep this year.

Just wanted to say hello to all the Wildcat posters!  Congrats on a great start to the 2012 season!  Now that I'm retired, hopefully I'll have more time to devote to d3football than the last 2 - 3 years.  BC won today as well so it was a good day.  Hope that the big yardsale Friday and Sunday at Coco's place has gone well.  Too far for me to drift by but I would have if I could have.  All the best to everyone. Bracelets and stones ready for the season?  Hope to see you in Salem!!

Losing 30-9 is a lot of fun?
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Watched some of Willamette v HSU today. Completely different offense. Only resemblance of a fly sweep was the Dana Holgerson hot potato pass out of the shotgun to the WR motion in front of his face. They were no huddle, hurry up out of the shotgun 90% of the time. Wallamette subs quite a bit too. Really shocked that HSU didn't sub defensively. They looked real sluggish on a lot of plays and didn't take advantage of the fact that the refs have to allow time for defensive subs every time the offense runs new players on the field.

They've got some major tendencies out of a couple of their formations. I'm sure they'll develop some wrinkles. I guess when you're kicking the crap out of HSU there is no need to show anything...

Willamette QB had some real nice throws. Great touch on the deep ball. Moved in the pocket well but not gonna beat you with his legs.

Tough to get a read on them defensively. HSU had a lot of self inflicted wounds.

Great win for Willamette to start the season. Got another tough opponent in ETBU in 2 weeks.

Very nice season opening win for Willamette yesterday.  As an ASC guy I was shocked by how lopsided the result was.  Be interesting to see how ETBU plays you guys in 2 weeks.  They played Wesley pretty even (321-310 total yardage) just got beat by some bad special teams coverage and a costly turnover.  Hopefully ETBU can even up the record for the ASC against the NWC!

Cowboys allow 727 yards, 6 turnovers against Willamette

An excerpt from the Abilene Reporternews:

"The Hardin-Simmons football team's season opener probably could have gone worse for the Cowboys than it did Saturday at Shelton Stadium. But coming up with ways wouldn't be much fun for coach Jesse Burleson or his players.

"Playing a Willamette team they had beaten each of the past two seasons, the Cowboys surrendered a school-record 727 yards and turned the ball over six times in a 58-34 loss — their first in a season opener since 2007, when they allowed a then-record 662 yards in a 47-21 loss to Wisconsin-La Crosse.

" 'I'm not really sure what to say," Burleson said after the game. "We had opportunities, we just didn't take advantage of them. We had chances to make plays in all three phases — offense, defense and the kicking game — and just didn't do it. Against a good team like Willamette, you've got to take advantage of those, and we didn't tonight.' "

CSS had zero video feed so he had nothing to watch...thought that score would have been lopsided in the Rats favor.

I watched most of the Whitworth game last night (basically it was on tape delay). I guess there was nothing really to report. St. Scholastica isn't very good. Ronnie Thomas is. In their first TD drive he touched the ball every play down the field.

Whitworth didn't have more than a handful of possessions that actually started deep in their own territory. They were able to do what you expect them to...zone right, zone left, counter right, counter left, QB draw...54 rushing attempts for 233 yards. It was 28-0 before CSS got on the board.

The rats are giving playing time to 2 QBs, Peterson is banged up apparently. McCune has a live arm. Had a nice ball on his lone TD pass, but not as accurate as you'd like to see.

On paper, they don't play a team that should give em a whole lot of trouble until Willamette on Oct. 6...but paper doesn't mean much
