What?! Those are a Westering family tradition.

Yes...no scoreboard video, video board graphics or music that are pro-home team, etc, etc, etc.  Pretty much they want to make it as "neutral" as possible.   That's all fine and good but hard to swallow when you make a trip out to UWW and they pretty much thumb their nose at all of those nonsense restrictions (except for their cannon).

IMO, you've earned home field advantage and should get some of the perks that come along with it.

Does it mention anything in the rules on canadian tuxedos and overalls at the Catdome?!

The look K4 wears very well this time of year is the look of disappointment.

Wow - talk about taking it too far.  I can understand the ethical concerns about mascots like slave-owning 'Ole Miss' or Native American caricatures like 'Savages'...but animals?

That's a more reasonable number of first and second teamers, right?

I think so but I don't get why your MVP's are not the 1st team players at their positions?  I "see" what they're doing there but I think that waters down the prestige, IMO (Yes, I would be saying that if it wasn't Linfield guys either).  I know you're to assume Inns and Forrest are the best at their positions too but really they should just be named 1st team players in those slots and the rest get bumped down from there.

The other two areas I'm not thrilled about is what looks like Willamette having more combined 1st/2nd teamer's than PLU (to the victors...) and what looks like is uncapped honorable mentions.  Willamette's press release says 22 guys were all-NWC.  So the 3rd place team has pretty much their entire starting lineup named all-conference?  That's silly.

Sucks to be the UPS QB--he's the only starting QB in the conference who wasn't named on the list......and no I'm not calling him out--I'm pointing out the fact that they named 6 of the 7 QB's in the conference to the "all conference" team----I mean, I guess they could have named all the starting QBs to the team and made it a real "all conference" team..... ;)

Unfortunately, this "scholarly presentation" ??? about the propriety of animal sports mascots is representative of the intellectual goofiness that pervades most US higher education. Apparently you don't keep up with this sort of thing. Don't you know that animals are people too?  ;D  You're probably a fellow-trogladyte that thinks he "owns" his pets...as I do. ;D
