Saw the Lutes twice this year. They are good and it is no surprise this was a close game. So very tough to beat a team twice in one season in football. But this is also now the third time I have seen the Lutes use all of their timeouts early.

Time to get ready and head to the Bay Area to watch the Cat hoopsters take on my alma mater Cal Maritime.

PLU, if Linfield is #3, you are definitely a Top 10 team!   Best PLU team in 11 years.

Cats, congrats on a win.   

This game was like the old Linfield-PLU rivalry of the 1980s and early 90s.   Great to see it return.

Nolutes gave me a big scare today....and proved they belonged.  However, even on a bad day the Cats found a way to win.  Can't wait till next week.

Lutes made it a game. Congrats to both teams! Too bad this had to be a first round game. PLU could have gone down and laid the smack down on Calu instead of giving NCC the pleasure...oh well.

I was amazed at the different formations and deception that plu displayed. Linfield was very lucky to come out on top they way we played. No running game and very little deception....plus trying long passes on short yardages situations. 

Looking at stats and reading the recap sounds like it was one heck of a game.  Wish I could have been there.  Good luck Cats.  Get ready to play some run D.

Congrats Cats....The Lutes deserve to be in the Top 10.   We are lucky the Lutes turned the ball over 5 times or the results would have been different and PLU would be advancing to the second round.  If we play like we did today it likely will be 2 and out once again.  We have the talent, we just need to put it all together and then the Cats can compete with the best of teams.
