Congrats to the Cats on a fabulous season.   It was a hell of a game!  I would have been happy with you guys moving on as I think your team may be better built to give the Mighty Mount a game if able to take care of business next week.  But I have to support my conference rival as well.  Linfield is always a class program, top to bottom!  I am sorry for you, GHC, 11 and Tuxguy.  I hate when my friends aren't happy.   :'(
Hopefully my guys can reboot and a match up is in both of our futures.   :-*

Good point 413, I am with you on that.  I fear the best chance to beat Mt may have just been lost.
Linfield was so solid fundamentally, I am still at a loss as to what happened.

Titans started passing the ball in the second half, something they needed to do, and we all know they could do well, as an important addition to their option offense.  That and they may have worn down the Cats, a little, at the LOS as the game wore on. The game plan needs to start out against the Tommies with that in mind if they are to have any shot at traveling to Salem, IMHO!

That was hard.  The kids left their heart on the field but the issues that have slowed this team down during the season tripped us up in the end.  I have the honor of getting to spend time around these young men and you would be incredible proud of how they represent Linfield and carry themselves as people.  They're hurting bad right now but that's because of the sheer amount of energy, work, and care they put into Linfield football.  Only one teams gets to feel great at the end of this but I'm just disappointing that this ride had to end today.

Love my 'Cats.  Always have, always will.  'Catdome!

congrats to the cats on a great season. Never fun when you give one away, but the kids should be proud of themselves.

If I'm Linfield, i want ANYONE besides a WIAC team coming to the CATDOME during the post-season next year!!!

Here is my take on the Cats Round 3 match

We all know that our O line is steller, so I have Inns throwing for 400+ yards on the day.  We are up by 17 at the half.

Our Salty D is in shut down mode.  Once again just like last week will cause them to go to the air and then the fun begins.  3 picks and 2 fumbles go our way.

This one is in the bank boys

Loading up the G5 with another load of Salt and purple frisbees, and of course old blue !!   Lets do this--

Phone it in

Respect. Hear here.

Probably waaay too early to start talking about this but sounds like if the QB who steps in is a player, you guys are loaded for next season. I didn't really get to know this Linfield team until I got to do the feature this week, but those guys were great to talk to, as is Hazenberg (although I feel SO old realizing its his 7th year coaching), and I think they have the right mind-set and play for the right reasons ... corny and cliche as it sounds, enjoying the journey means you've already won. I mean of course you want to get to Salem and win it all and go out playing your best, but as wc11 said, only one team gets to do that, and a bunch of the best teams in the country go out with hard feelings. They subside some over time, and you just have the memories of playing with who you played with and the good times.

Huge tangent there. Linfield loaded for next year. Possible No. 1 votes in preseason, although they'll likely all go to whoever wins it all and/or Mount Union.

As of now, that's the word out of Oregon. But nothing is for certain.

Also LB Dom Forrest got hurt in today's game. Don't know how bad it is but a long-term injury in December is no guarantee to start the next season. Dundas was pretty good in his place though.

Way to blow your assignment George. You were sent to set off the fire alarm bells at 3 AM and instead you sit down to a fine meal.Sheesh!.

Actually my friend Barry suggested I do that!

Now, I wish I had!!

After 14 years of NCAA play, I wonder if we ever will meet Mount Union.   I would love a home and home series with the Purple Raiders.
