well , from what i say , the Mt.U boys took the snap and a knee , but the tom's did not follow or agree ... .. not once but again after time out too. (under a minute to play, down three scores ) I thought the coach called the time out to tell the boys to comply with the victory formations by Mt U .. but not the case.. I have only seen one other team not comply and act with the same demeanor so far? No class... Glad no one was hurt.

sidenote: Coach didn't write this with the intention of mass distribution (was sent to his players) but I felt the message was so powerful and I felt it should be passed along. Hope you'll read it with an open mind and heart. -11

Yes, I read it and appreciated what Coach Smith wrote. It sounded like it came straight from his heart. Thank you Coach Smith. I am so proud to be a parent of a former Wildcat Football player and to be associated with the fine young men within the program and the outstanding men coaching them. Merry Christmas and Have a Safe and Happy New Year.

Wildcat11, thank you so much for sharing. Coach Smith is so, so right. Our society is failing too many kids. Too many single parent homes. Too much cell phone and video game time. Coach Smith hits the nail on the head.

You can have all the laws you want; but they won't save the children, or society.

Coach Smith, my admiration for you just jumped a bunch! I have never been prouder to be a Wildcat fan.

Reporting in that Little Warthog really enjoyed receiving a Linfield helmet as part of his Christmas haul. He and his family hosted the Warthog clan for Christmas this year. The Wildcat helmet went up on the display shelf in the family room next to his Wartburg helmet as soon as it was opened. He thought it was neat to have a helmet of both teams from his last game.
