PLU has a good offense but Linfield's defense was dominate today....just a fantastic effort.  No real adjustments at half by the offense it was just a matter of better execution and they wore PLU out towards the end.  Great day to be a 'Cat!

An old cliché, but true, Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

SCIAC Champ goes to Linfield and PLU goes on the road. I wouldn't want to play PLU in the first round

PLU or Willamette play SCIAC Champ and Linfield plays St. Norbert at home. How's that for letting the flies out of your wallet?  ;D ...or maybe put Linfield in East with all home games and Mt Union in West. Then West Plays winner of  South to get to Stagg Bowl. Buttheads.

PS>>>>>just gave everybody on page +K!!!!   ;D
I wouldn't pencil in my LUTES just yet.  Willamette is good also and the Lute-Bearcat match up is in Salem.  Also Pacific is vastly improved, they went on the road and refused to lose.  That, in my book, shows some character.

My dream matchup is PLU-Platteville.  My brother played his final two seasons at Platteville after leaving Linfield.

Two great teams, on a perfect day for WildCat Football.....and that was Wildcat football all day!! Was good seeing #24 back out on the field. Let's not over look the Ratz!
Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

I do believe he was interested in Engineering which I gather Linfield did not have.  In the early 80's, before all your National Championships, you know like year 24 of THE STREAK.  :)

I'm sure there was a good reason.

Quote of the day actually comes from Saturday from Puget Sound's head coach on L&C's Keith Welch.

"He is an all-time great Northwest Conference quarterback," Thomas said. "He literally is their whole offense."

Somebody send Coach Thomas an NWC history book ASAP.

He can put up big stats........but not against Linfield. Curious, what are his stats against the 'cats. hasn't shown me much.

desertcat1

It's kind of hard to win games if there is only one person on offense. And as far as being an all-time great? Not quite sure about that???  ::)

Happy to see my LUTES only drop to #15, and Willamette makes the top 25.  Pacific got two votes also.

Even before getting Coach Thomas a history of the NWC, someone should get him a dictionary so he can look up 'literally'! :o ;D
