NWC Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week (Nov. 4-10)
Props to "Tyson Giza
Willamette, Senior
Salem, Ore./Sprague
Giza returned three punts for a total of 30 yards and brought back four kickoffs for a total of 80 yards in Willamette's 21-17 win over Pacific. After Willamette started its first seven possessions at or inside its own 26-yard line (six at or inside the 21), Giza had a key play in the first half when he caught a punt at the WU 47 and returned it 18 yards to the Pacific 35. Willamette scored 4 plays later for a 7-7 tie. On defense, he recorded 5 tackles with one-half tackle for a loss and broke up 4 passes."

This is what we get for scaring away the one Pacific poster---a discussion of murphy beds----- ;)

I was just trying to emulate the board for the toughest conference in d3,  ;) on the MIAC they discuss hockey, beer, deer, and occasionally football.  ;D

Are there any Pacific posters on this board?  They need to hold their head high and announce their presence so we can welcome them.  They've had a fabulous ride for the past 4 years and are to be commended.  I expect them to only get better.

There was one a few weeks back but apparently us "losers" "attacked" him and he hasn't posted again......

I'm not a Pacific poster but I caught this article on footballscoop.com and thought some of you might be interested.

Good for Pacific as they're building a solid program.  It's not unique to see a reboot program have a big year 4 as those freshmen from four years ago are now headed into near 40 starts.  I think they'll backslide some next season but they've had a year they can feel good about.

I would agree Camcat this has been a very special year for them and have to agree with #11 that they may slip some next year. However, after checking their roster, (they have the numbers with a huge # returning) I think
overall the program will be solid in the years ahead. The Boxers need to focus now on quality players.

After checking out the new stadium at George Fox I say don't touch the catdome. Even though it has to be one of the older in the country it's unique just like the football program.  :) :) Please opine if you happen to check it out :).

Didn't get a pic but still lots of work to do around the stadium and putting in the field but it's still plenty early.

I've never been to an away Pacific game since they brought back football. How do I get their?
