After checking out the new stadium at George Fox I say don't touch the catdome. Even though it has to be one of the older in the country it's unique just like the football program.  :) :) Please opine if you happen to check it out :).

Does anyone have any pictures of it?

It sort of looks like this:

I've never been to an away Pacific game since they brought back football. How do I get their?

....by car or horse and buggy.

The Cats have only given up 77 points all season.  How many of those points were scored against our starters?  Does anyone have the stats on that?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Didn't get a pic but still lots of work to do around the stadium and putting in the field but it's still plenty early.

If I remember you head north and turn left at the Y..  hope that helps ;)

Probably about 56 of them...give or take--it's hard to say for sure since I think the substitutions are not always uniform (meaning I think sometimes some starters remained in while others were taken out).....I'm basing my numbers on the quarters in which they were scored, but maybe somebody closer to the team has this number more solidly figured.

Another impressive number might be the yards/points gained by our back-up offense (it's way more than the 77 total allowed by the team).  Not to mention the relatively few points allowed by our reserve D guys.
Go Cats!

From watching the games first hand...they seem to keep 3-4 1st team guys in at random until about the middle of the third quarter on defense. As far as the offense is concerned....they don't allow much passing when the score is so lopsided. I have a feeling the 2nd and 3rd team could have scored WAY more points if allowed to operate with normal play calling.

Looking for a true balanced game no matter what the lead.
It's a payoff game.  :D

Here is a link to the George Fox football program website:

http://www.georgefox.edu/dev/stoffer-stadium/football/

It does have a good pic of the stadium under construction in the "football updates, October 28" article. I could be wrong, but the stadium looks a "modern" version of the Catdome  ??? .

Of course, it is missing the aura and spirit of the Catdome that could never be replicated...anywhere or anytime.

The site also has a nice introduction of the three former Cat players and coaches.

If the promo is accurate, the stadium is poorly done, why would one put a posts in the middle of the roof. Other ways to span a roof to make it work. It reminds me of Cal Lu's and Chapman where a light post sits on the 50 in front of the stands. I love it when common sense eludes the highly educated.

Memorial Stadium is almost 100 years older than Fox's new grandstand and looks 100x more comfortable than this tin can.

I thought it would look different if you're going to build a new stadium. Maybe a little more architecturally interesting.
