Linfield and PLU (and '97 Willamette) know all about the NAIA playoff bidding process.  The Tacoma Dome, McMinnville High School, and Civic (Jeld-Wen) Stadium in Portland each hosted a few title games.

I don't see any possible NAIA to D3 converts out this way; maybe College of Idaho.  Menlo just went the other way.  EOU, SOU, and any Frontier Conference members would join D2 long before D3.  And frankly, our conference hasn't been very welcoming to the local state schools.

Three Linfield Alums on The George fox FB Staff

Send 'em up.
I hear a rumor that the coaching Staff is not complete ??? Would like to hire a coach who could recruit well in the Islands. Will not be talking till their season ends. I would think he'd love to be back on the west coast.

Here is a link to the George Fox football program website:

http://www.georgefox.edu/dev/stoffer-stadium/football/

It does have a good pic of the stadium under construction in the "football updates, October 28" article. I could be wrong, but the stadium looks a "modern" version of the Catdome  ??? .

Of course, it is missing the aura and spirit of the Catdome that could never be replicated...anywhere or anytime.

The site also has a nice introduction of the three former Cat players and coaches.

Memorial Stadium is almost 100 years older than Fox's new grandstand and looks 100x more comfortable than this tin can.
[/quoteI agree #11!!  Now what should we call the stadium? ;D The Picture does more justice than it deserves :(
What could we name the stadium? ;D

With 7 teams in the Top 10 in West Region Rankings, the NCAA should just put 8 teams from the MIAC and WIAC into the playoffs.    1st and 2nd in each conference would be in the West and North regions.   3rd and 4th place teams would go East and South.   The regional finals might have 5-8 teams from those two conferences.    And the semi's could have four!   After all, they are by far the toughest conferences.

Another Northwest county fair affair.

What about visitors? Let 'em sit in the rain or incorporated behind the grandstand pole?

I will forever miss the wooden grandstands and the seas of mud.

That's how I remember the stadium at Pacific.  Wood grandstands with solid wood fronts.  That would trap the runoff when it was raining and back up a "lake" to the sidelines.

Actually getting excited about the Pacific game. Hoping for a decent video feed.

Excited because it's always fun to slap down the upstarts with your best effort and the fact LINFIELD has been playing on one leg with one hand behind their back during UPS and L&C.

Now it's playoff football. But, then, I posted that, didn't I? See how excited I get?

George....I'm assuming either UWP or UWO will drop out this week along with SJU. Although I'm hoping for a SJU victory which would probably give Linfield the #1 seed in the West. (Assuming UWW moves East or North)

Definitely want to see an SJU win this weekend.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Not being a frequent contributor here, I don't know if the following is news, or if anyone cares, but....

I went to the Wisconsin/BYU game this past weekend and noticed in the program that former Pac Lutheran player Dave Aranda is the Defensive Coordinator/LBs for UW. It's his first season in that position there.
