Wildcat'64

Great comeback today, Wildcats....the muster of a good team is when they can play under pressure and win.  The Cats proved today what we all thought...they are a good team.  Good luck in the playoffs Wildcats....one game at a time.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Steele done for the season. Feel bad for that dude. ACL recons are super successful now a days so at least he should be able to stay active now that the college career is done.

I'll be rooting for the Cats in the playoffs though...sorry speedy!

Quite alright 509, you can switch to the Lutes in the 2nd round.  :)

I suspect that the selection committee might shake it up this year and do something "out of the box."

First round road trip to Alliance!  ;)

A team doesn't have to blowout all of it's opponents to win a national championship.  Look how things went for SJU in their 2003 national championship season:

9/13    at Hamline *       W, 74-7
9/20    vs. UW-Eau Claire    W, 24-10
9/27    at St. Olaf *       W, 45-6
10/4    vs. Gust Adolphus      W, 35-13
10/11 at Carleton *            W, 44-0
10/18 vs. Augsburg *            W, 63-9
10/25 vs. Con-Moorhead      W, 24-12
11/1    at St. Thomas *      W, 15-12
11/8    vs. Bethel *       W, 29-26
11/15 vs. Crown               W, 50-0
11/29 vs. St. Norbert           W, 38-13
12/6    vs. Linfield       W, 31-25
12/13 vs. RPI               W, 38-10
12/20 vs. Mount Union    W, 24-6

D O.C.

My heart goes out to Tyler Steele. He was my main man this year because last year at CLU he told me he wasn't going to look at the six second field goal. He didn't. Then he says he's done for the year. Pretty damn mature guy.

D3 projections regarding the playoffs are up the front page.  I like the bracket they've created (with the exception of Cats vs. Lutes round 1).

Yes, agree 100%.   He was in pain, especially the emotional kind, on the sideline.

Today the Wildcats showed what they are made of.   After watching Pacific today, I am at a loss to figure out how they lost two games.

Regarding the playoffs, forget everything I said last week.  Premature for sure.

The key for Linfield is to beat the MIAC and WIAC champs whenever and wherever we meet.   Never easy to do.

I'm about as bummed as anyone for Tyler as I've had the pleasure of getting know him well over the past 5 seasons.  Stand up guy and a true Wildcat but he'll tell his guys to move on and get ready for PLU in the 1st round.

Gutty win and it was a fun game to watch and take in.  Linfield showed me something when the chips were down.

Probably the largest and loudest crowd ever at Pacific. Was a tense game. Good tune up for the playoffs as we had played some lesser teams in the prior weeks. Needed a wake-up call, which they gave us. I liked our running attack.

Obviously not, I even winked! I fully expect Linfield to host until the Semis. And if the main site is right (and I'm inclined to believe they will be) it'll be a road trip to Alliance at that point.

EDIT: And in my tired state I read it originally wrong, but it still stands. Linfield pretty much guaranteed a number 2 seed and probably a trip to alliance in the Semis if they keep winning.
