pretty much as expected.  Redlands to Texas and a NWC rematch  >:(
yeah--the round 2 matchups are gonna be ineresting though...

Yeah d-train, you're beginning to smell like the solutes.   :D

They used a lot of imagination...besides our match-up and Redlands to UMHB.  It's like they don't really care about flights later on.  We really should be a second round match-up.  But whatever, let's play.

...and PLU has had two weeks to get ready for Linfield so I think that will make the game even more interesting from how PLU will have game planned for Linfield.  I'm expecting a 4 quarter dandy.

Of coooooouuuurrrrrssse, I'm not looking past the first round, but I would like to see Hampton Sydney come in to the Catdome. Maybe Keith would come cover the game since he knows those teams so well.

Very strange looking bracket matchups....does this mean the winner of the the Cat/Lute game has to travel East for the second round?  If so, you gotta be kidding.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

no I think they travel to us if we win if PLU wins I guess it depends on who wins the other game....

Gonna party like its 1999!

They would come to us if we defeat PLU.  Quarters at UWW (I believe) if they win their 1st two.

At least the NWC "show down" winner gets to play the "new kid on the block..."

My wish for Platteville vs PLU will just have to be in the Stagg Bowl.

MUC Bracket is a joke again....Bethel Bracket seems pretty tough. UWW Bracket seems fairly balanced. Overall not too bad other than MUC Bracket.

Yes, PLU has had a week to put in the Wishbone or some other schemes.  ;D

The NWC definitely gets no respect again this year IMO....
I dunno---they gave us quite possibly the most favorable second round opponents (for either us or PLU) in recent years.  Sure beats NCC in round 2, or being shipped to Wesley, or flying to St. Thomas.

I think it's a decent bracket.  I would have preferred to have potential quarter vs. Bethel (instead of WW) but I think this is about as even a bracket as we've seen in recent years.  People will talk about Mt. U having an easy road or MHB playing cupcakes but heck---Linfield has a first round game against a team they've beat 3 times in the past 14 months followed by (if they win for the 4th time) a 2 loss team that isn't currently ranked in the top 25.  Pretty good to me.  Sure it gets rough from there but that's the playoffs!

I think the bracket is fine.  Would I rather see a different 1st round game? Sure but we all know the deal by now when 3 west coast teams get in.  The 2nd round game will be great for either Linfield or PLU and by the time we get down to the final 8 you know it's the who's who of D3football.  Let's play ball!

Wildcat'64

Take 'em one game at a time boys and we'll find ourselves in Salem with the #1 vs #2 team in the D3 Poll.  Let's go Cat's.....first up the Lutes.
