Thanks Pat for the good news. I think that I got it mixed up with the ticket scenario for the actual game. As I remember here, everyone buys a ticket i.e. no passes, etc. And thanks to you DOC for the inspirational words  ;)

ADvantage 'Catdome = ‘Cats Win!!! Linfield flips script in second half to bounce the Boxers 28-22.

side note: I should have added visitor's locker room to my "Ugly" list for Pacific.  Hands down the worst in the conference.

NWC Visitor's locker room ranking:

1. PLU (great area for a large roster to get ready, private, and right on the field. Perfect)
2. Whitworth (The field house is never private but you can't complain about space and it's a nice walk to the Pine Bowl)
3. Willamette (moved out to baseball field a few years ago and it's much better. A little dank but at least it's private and players have space)
4. UPS (moved it around over the years.  OK. Have some space but not great)
5. L&C (Cramped and it's like you're on skates on that tile floor)
6. Pacific (Brutal with 80% of the team having to get dressed in a tight hallway. Pacific students (male/female) are walking around the complex while players are dressing)

The 2001 three-way NWC title included Whitworth rather than Willamette.

Thanks Dee.  I never like giving Willamette more credit than they deserve so appreciate the correction.

Yeah, Allegre does plenty of that already - no reason for anyone else to go there.  ;)

Revealing comment!   When there are only 2 conferences west of Iowa, it is no wonder that the West Region seedings are so biased.   LInfield always schedules tough non-conference games.   It is not our fault that the Wildcats' 3 non-conference teams stubbed their toes in unusual fashion this year.   Apparently losing one regular season game in five years does not count at all for Linfield.

Linfield got robbed!   Not as bad as two years ago, but still no favors!

George, even as a Linfield fan I think you sound like a cry baby.  We didn't get robbed---the numbers just didn't fall our way this year (our SOS didn't end up as high and the teams that we scheduled ended up sucking it).  The other teams had things work their way this year.  Last year we had a top seed and fumbled it away.  So if you want them to use history as a guide to seedings then they could look to that result right there....  C'mon man.  Our team is in the playoffs with a chance to go deep and you're still complaining about an imaginary slight.  Sheesh.
Go Cats!

O.K. Before I get off track I want to say congratulations to the Cats and the Lutes and I look forward
to this Saturdays Match up.

Well, I think the NCAA has forgotten who they represent......College athletes. By sending PLU to Linfield this week
did they (NCAA) really save money?  We won't really know until week 2 and week 3 are done I guess. They kind of control who wins or who has the best chance to win in most case's with this type of matching teams together. ( behind those closed doors I can see them now...a smoke in one hand and a scotch in the other, sooo what patsy do we put against Mount this year?)  ;D I'm just kidding!! But.........
I'm thinking the business side of the playoffs has clouded the minds of many. This should be about the students, the student athletes that have a chance to learn a few of life's lessons, and experience some things that without sports might not have happened for these young men. By sending a team from another part of the country to McMinnville and the Catdome you bring a group of people to a part of the country many have never seen before and many will never have the chance to get back to ever again. (I understand it's a zip in and out trip, but still you see something) The host school benefits as well by having these visitors share things with them. It's a give and take that you can't put a $ amount on. This is College sports, and yes I know it is a business, but It can be more and I think many have forgotten that. as always IMHO
I'm just happy the Cat's are playing this week and I have the chance to watch them play.

Go Cats!
Leave no doubt!!
One game at a time!!!

Very well said Tuxguy.  Growing up in Alaska we spent a lot of weekends traveling around the state playing high school basketball.  It was definitely a learning experience.

speedybigboy,Appreciate your answering, and I concur with the lack of enthusiasm for what Edgar Allen Poe called "the clamor and the clangor of the bells" in his famous poem.

Whoa, quoting poetry, you lost me there.   ;D

At lease both our teams get a chance in the first round to avenge an early season loss.  :)

c'mon   big boy ,, BOTH teams  :o   don't the dogs go to UMHB?   ;D  no way no how.. :P :-*

Chances are Slim and None, but there is a chance.   ;D

Northwest Conference Teams are out.

http://www.nwcsports.com/sports/fball/2013-14/releases/All-NWC_FBALL2013

Yoder and Forrest are named the Def and Off players of the year.

1st/2nd team breakdown goes:
Linfield - 16
PLU - 14
Will - 8
Pac - 7
Whit - 6
L&C - 2
UPS - 0

Still not thrilled that the players of the year are not named the 1st team choices for their positions as well.    In fact there are a total of six QB's on the all-conference team and four of those are on the 1st and 2nd team.  Moronic.  Besides that I'm ok with the breakdown.  I think Funk and Zarosinski were robbed but I guess the coaches can't name all 22 Linfield starters to the 1st/2nd team.
