Here's all you want to know about HSC v. Linfield from the HSC viewpoint (all 27 pages).

Hampden-Sydney (9-2, 6-1 ODAC) vs
#2 Linfield (10-0, 6-0 NWC)

Keys to the game.

- Linfield D v. Nance & Walker. Pressure and contain the former, force HSC to beat you by taking away the latter.
- How the HSC front 7 holds up. There is a distinct size advantage for the Linfield Oline...if they can't stop the run, they're in for a long day. This front seven is very small.

How are you calculating our front 7?  We play a 3 man front and 3 LBs. When we play a 4 man front we don't put a 210 lb LB in a 4 point stance.

The two deeps put out by your school. These are who you list as your defensive starters:

DE 56 Fr  5-10 195
NG 91 Jr  6-4   265
DE 92 So 6-1   230
LB 42 Jr  6-0    205
LB 25 Sr 5-10  210
LB 50 So 5-11 185
SS 45 Jr  6-0   205

If you guys only want to play with 6 in the box, feel free, but I think you'll be in for a really long day against Linfield's rushing attack. Your base D is either not going to be on the field much or you'll be relying on these guys to stop the run a good amount of the game. I don't know what the game plan is, but you appear undersized on paper. And Linfield is good up front.

I haven't been on here in a long time, and I enjoyed reading the banter between the NWC and HSC guys. Welcome to the Catdome! I hope you folks enjoy your trip to Oregon and that the game is a good one.
Don't forget to stop by the tailgate. GHC gave you directions.

If COCO is Back, so am I.

Anything special you need for the Electrics GigHarbor?  If so let me know and I will be happy to provide tomorrow.

Been busy keeping the town in shape and trying to make several trips way up North to collect WildCat 64s taxes.  I know he is a few years behind now and they asked me to begin negotiations with him.

Is anyone planning on goijng to the big D tonight?  If so, please post.  Maybe we can even get some HSU fans that are in town to stop by for a little bantering.  We could meet at about 6:30 or 7:00 at the Big D 725 East 3rd for those that don't know where it is.  Who knows maybe OLDCATPROF may show up again.

I normally am not a betting man, I let Swede to  that, but I am thinking as Mayor that we should show a little respect.  We were not very nice to LC, UPS, and others than have come to play and die at the CatDome.

Hope to see a lot of you at the TailGate tomorrow.

Have a news link round up.  The local radio interview with H-SC's head coach is a good listen about the Tigers approach this weekend.

Thanks for the research Wildcat11...the HSC coach said we were like a big bully and they were going to hit us in the mouth....  :o

He also said that his team was making the longest trip ever in DIII history? Are they traveling further than when we traveled to Dover, Delaware to play Wesley? If so....not by much.....

Should be a barn burner!

Great to see spiritof86, coco and The Catville Mayor come out of the woodwork!  ;D

C'mon Blue, he had to say something positive. It's not as though he was going to say they're going to give up like a bunch of little girls.   :)
As for the travel, I've got to agree with you. Unless HSC got routed through Edmonton (or someplace equally remote) anywhere you guys had to fly to get to Dover is farther east than any airport in Virginia.

I heard they chartered a bus and drove to Greensboro and flew out of there.
