Congrats on yet another great season Cats!

I'm surprised Chris Petersen chose UW over Whitworth, but oh well, the search continues...

Linfield players and coaches,

Thank you for another thrilling year.   I am sure we would have beat WWW if we had played them in September or October, when we were much healthier.     But, that is football--- a game of attrition over 11-14 weeks as much as anything.

Rebuild for next year.    PLU, Pacific and Willamette will be lurking for us.

GO CATS! GO!

Another excellent year for Wildcat football...Thank you coaches and players for all of the endless hours you have put in to give us the best season possible.  As one poster says, "We are...LINFIELD!"

And I want to especially thank Wildcat11 for all that he does for us.  He works with his heart and is the class of all DIII video guys.  I haven't seen anyone come even close to his skills or heart for what he does.  Wildcat11 is building memories and preserving (with a creative edge) Linfield football history for generations to come.  We are so blessed to have Wildcat11 on our side.  My grandchildren and great great grandchildren will be able to watch his work.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Congrats to Linfield on another stellar season. No doubt the Wildcats are one of the finest programs in all of D3. I was sure hoping the Cats and UMHB could meet up in the semifinals at The CRUthedral. I was even going to treat desertcat1 to a Cru-dog. I am sure there are some future CRU vs Cats meetings that will occur deep in the playoffs. It would we be nice to get some regular season games as well.

I hear you loud and clear, desertcat1. If The CRU plays like it did this past Saturday, we will be watching the Stagg Bowl on TV.

I've heard a rumor that Louisiana College and Linfield might be working out a home and home situation in the near future. If it is more than just a rumor, I might have to make a trip back to the Northwest. It has been eight years since I moved from McMinnville and seven since I visited the Willamette Valley. It would be a fun trip back to watch a game in the Catdome between the Wildcats and the Cajun Cats.   ;D

I look for Linfield to reload and be stout again next year.

Love Those Cats

I am so thankful I was able to make it to Whitewater this past weekend with my Linfield boys! What a great trip, sans the loss. I do have to say, traveling via charter is the way to go!!!

I was thoroughly impressed with the UW-W fans, players and facilities!!! All I can say is WOW!!!! It was amazing that everyone (without exception) in Wisconsin was nothing but nice and welcoming; what super folks! We did miss tailgating beforehand (not used to that) as we stayed inside the athletic facility trying to stay warm until kickoff. But, after the game, we actually got to hang with some with the hardcore fans still out there. It was an absolutely great game, our Cats were just on the losing side this time.

Thank you to all for a great season and for the past 4 years. Our kid may be done, but we will be back (even if it's not with 'Cat Camper - now we have a bigger/better version). Until then... GO CATS!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad to hear you were treated well. Wildcat11 is the only Cat fan I had the pleasure of meeting and I'm pretty sure you are all really aware of what a great guy he is. Nothing but respect from UW-W to the Cats and their program. They are first class all the way. 58 straight winning  years in a row pretty much says it all. You all have a lot to be proud of. I remember after the 09 game thinking to myself I would be a Linfield fan whenever they don't play UW-W because they seemed like great people. Saturday was a reminder of why I felt that way.

Go Cats!
Go Warhawks!

Thanks for the clip.  Saw that live from across the field and had no clue what happened.  Great catch.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Wow- that's sure not how I've explained the play to everybody.  I like my version better.  McLin picked it off then bobbled it on the way down, where a very lucky Linfield receiver was lying on his back and the ball fell into his hands.

That was a great catch.

Yes, same here. While watching the video feed at home, the announcers originally said Mclin had intercepted it. Then when they saw Peterson come up with the ball they assured the watchers that Peterson had stripped it from McLin. I actually liked what really happened better. McLin had good position, but Peterson just made a great play on the ball. So it's not like McLin gave the ball away....he did just about everything right. Peterson just made an athletic play.

I'm glad I saw that video, to see how it really went down.
