I heard a rumor that #4 is heading to George Fox.
Coach Casey is going to be giving Linfield a huge battle in the recruiting game! Very similar programs as far as the kids they want......Hope Haz can keep the Cats loaded! :D

I'll agree that GFU is setting up their value system very similar to Linfield.  I think much of that is Casey being brought up as a Wildcat under Rutch.  It's going to cause an interesting dynamic as the years progress but there is no reason why Linfield football won't continue to thrive.  George Fox baseball is very strong but that hasn't stopped Linfield baseball from being a national powerhouse.  The conference is only going to continue to get better and more competitive and that's something to look forward to.

CLU signed a two year agreement with Willamette.

...and here I thought that CLU was dumping us to stretch out their wings and play a Texas, Wisconsin, or Minn. team to only find out that they're moving 30 miles down the road to play at our annex.  Weak.

Can't wait to see who steps up for LB? Real battle at QB. Plus the D -Line is wide open for any transfers from PSU or Oregon? OSU?....LOL!!!  ;D

I actually feel we're going to be really dang good up-front on defense..  Guys we'll have back from injury on the defensive line will be Hyland, Randall, Connor Williams, Franklin Lime, and Morgunn Ewing.  Add that with Girod, Hoff, Farber, and you have a potential starting four that are all 1st team All-NWC to All-American caliber players with real quality depth.

Agreed on QB.  The good news is the talent at that position is big.  It's just a matter of who steps up and takes control.

LB is the big question on this 2014 team but Linfield is going to be strong in all other areas, RB, WR, O-Line, QB, D-Line, DB's (inexperienced but loaded with talent), and kicking.

I'm already fired up for Spring Ball to roll around.

Can anyone comment (now that the season is over) on Yarborough's injury and if it has any impact on his ability to play next season?
Go Cats!

Is this guy Riddle going to be in the mix for QB?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Oh and BTW, how does MU rate above Linfield when the Cats gave UWW a game to the end and MU didn't even come close....

And how's next years O line going to look?  Making big holes I hope.....

Because they are Mount Union.   Their 20 year tradition will always give them extra votes against virtually anyone.   LC gets the benefit of doubt against most others except MU and WWW.

GO CATS! GO!

Matt's injury shouldn't effect him in preparation for the 2014 season.

It will be a race between Yarbrough, Knecht, and Riddle.  All three are very talented.

4 our of 5 starters are back.  Left OT Hanke, who started all of 2012, will be back after missing this past season so you really have 5 starters back.  The Frosh class is loaded with studs.  It's a strong position group right now.

Um, because they finished 14-1 to Linfield's 11-1?  And had wins over 2 teams probably the equal of Linfield's best wins (Pac Lu), and two teams probably better than Pac Lu?  (On my fan ballot, I had NCC, Wesley, Wittenberg, and John Carroll ALL ranked above Pac Lu, though the last two are a close call vs. Pac Lu.)  The entirety of the season cannot be dismissed because of one game.

I admit there is room for debate, but I personally had UMHB 2nd, UMU 3rd, NCC 4th, and LC 5th (and Wesley 6th).

.....that ranking may vary quite a bit depending on who has the home game...... 8-)

It's all splitting hairs but when Coach Leipold says UMHB and Linfield are the two toughest teams UWW played this season and that, if healthy, Linfield would have scared the heck out of him going into that quarterfinal game, I think that says something about the quality of what Linfield put out this season.  But it is what it is....
