Chapman's field is up for replacement  as well.  I pray that they keep the color the same. I am also for plain uniforms.ll
Let actions on the field get the attention..

Red & Purple turf.....must have come from Rumor Control ::)....not sure who that is....but they're everywhere :o

I do like the hot looking uniforms of other teams.  It usually makes them look better than they really are....so when the Cats beat them.....it makes us look that much better ;D ;D
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Hell, I'm not even buying in to "name the Wildcat".

I know what's the matter with people, but what's the matter with people?

Well, I was curious and looked around a bit more.  It looks like it predates C. Klein and has maybe been around K-State for 20+ years as well. (There was one reference to it being painted in a press box and dated its use to the 90's.)  I kind of thought Frosty came up with it (several articles give him credit for it), but maybe he borrowed it via son-in-law Gary Spani?  Or some other connection?  I really don't know for sure.  I'd have to reach out to some guys who played for PLU in the 70's-80's.

Actually, one of my buddies I give a hard time to was Colin's best man (or vice versa). I've met Colin on a couple occasions. Nice guy, down to earth, exactly what you'd expect. I was aware of the PLU to KSU connection, but just wondered if EMA_ was running down stream or upstream. Spani may indeed be the connection. Guess we may never know who started it.

thanks fellas!
I'm a little late to the conversation but I wanted to add that EMAL was being used when I joined the program in '80.  It didn't seem to be a new thing that I remember.  All the upperclassmen knew what was meant by it.

I went to a kicking camp at PLU in 1980-ish (Ray Pelfrey).  I seem to remember seeing EMAL and hearing about it from coaches and players while I was there.  I could tell it meant something special to the PLU program even though I was a naïve, wet behind the ears high school player.  But I still chose Linfield three years later  ;D ;D ;D

This illustrates that you were a wise man even at an early age!  :)

Footballscoop.com likes George Fox's helmet....

Smart move to use fancy helmets to distract young guys from the fact they are actually having to attend George Fox.

News report on Whitworth opening spring ball.  Not very long or that big of a deal but I love the shirt their new HC is wearing.  Shouldn't that shirt be threadbare at this point since that was so long ago?
