So any word on Wildcat recruits for this year?  Are we going to get anything on the incoming Cats like we have in the past season?  I've always enjoyed that info! :)

There won't be a huge video like the past two season but each bio will have a link to their footage.  Program is closing on a few more guys but it's going to be another strong class for the 'Cats.
Thanks---and nice job on the Spring video!
Go Cats!

RE: Wildcat Spring Football:

What????  No blocking sleds, tackling dummies or contact? How's a program supposed to keep up with the competition? Sheesh. :o

Wow.... I'd have to say that was my favorite of your productions so far (and you've had a BUNCH of great ones!)

"Division I schools are now allowed to provide unlimited meals and snacks to all athletes, including walk-ons.
The move came after Connecticut guard Shabazz Napier complained during the Final Four that he sometimes went to bed "starving" because he couldn't afford food.
Schools were previously allowed to provide three meals per day or a stipend for those meals to scholarship athletes. The new rule now allows walk-ons to receive the same allowances and allows schools to provide more meals and snacks, too."

So all it takes is ONE player to change ncaa policy? As a athlete playing football for Linfield our son was always hungry! I can't remember a time when he wasn't eating.  ;)

Red,

It was not one incident or athlete that changed the food rule, many documented case of kids selling their tickets so they could snack at night. The NCAA made this move in anticipation of the Northwestern players union vote, along with the big 5 conference can now offer additional living expenses compensation. I would attribute this more to an attempt to slow the NW players union roll.

Was this ruling too late for Jameis Winston?

Thanks olddog. I hadn't heard or read anything further concerning this. The author of the article stated, "...The move came after Connecticut guard Shabazz Napier complained...". I guess the writer chose not to disclose the info you shared. Too bad this ruling doesn't affect D3 schools (or does it?). Same with unionization. Will it be just for football? Would all players receive payment for their services or just the "stars"?  ???

The real news for us in Wildcat land is the ability of wildcat11 to make videos with a birds eye view. Going to be awesome!  :)

That is pretty cool, 11.   Good luck with it.  I look forward to seeing your  videos even if the opposing team never seems to score. ;)
