Visited the Catdome today to see the new turf progress. Because the black crushed rubber has not yet been laid, the green turf is really BRIGHT GREEN  and the white is BRIGHT WHITE. That will tone down some once the black rubber cushioning is installed.

All the "green" turf is down...once again with alternating 5-yard segments of a lighter-green being used. I've always liked that look. All the "white" yard lines and both goal lines are in as well as hash-marks and the numbers identifying 10, 20, 30 etc. yard lines. Also the white area surrounding the field play is installed. The "L" at mid field has not yet been inserted, but measurements for its placement have been made.. The "L" will be purple this time, not cardinal red.

The end zones are completed except that the letters for "LINFIELD" and "WILDCATS" have not yet been inserted. Wow, it's almost football time at the CATDOME. Can't wait for fall practice to begin.

GO WILDCATS!

Thanks for the update OldCatProf....been wondering about that..............
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

D O.C.

I agree it should be WC11.

The slope of the field is not mentioned here in the pre- Mishap In the Mud presentation. It was another LINFIELD precedent setting moment inspiring Mud Runs.....

Are there any other teams who use purple and red for their primary colors?  The ducks aren't the only team in the state with uniquely colored uniforms.

One time I saw a high school football game where there was so much rain the mud never made it to the surface ;D ;D

Great article in the McMinnville news paper on the start up of George Fox football.

Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

GO WILDCATS!

The best field and surface the Kitty Cats will play on this season will be on 9/13 at Redlands. The Runner > CatDome, but enjoy your new carpet.

The players love playing on it. I think it is safer than turf. Over the years I have heard some funny comments, if not a perfect green hue it is not in good shape. Next time you are at UR, go stand in the end zone and you will the surface is well taken care of.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

For what it's worth DOC enjoyed laying on the field at the runner when we were there watching MHB beat Redlands last season.  It is a nice grass field....which works well in the desert.....
Go Cats!

Went by tonight and they were grooming the field. GF field will be a nice one to win on. They've got the blue endzone and I like the Logo. Stadium is small, Press box is nice but not only will they fight the support posts but also the windows. Bleacher seating still needs to go in.

If you know anyone who has a food cart and would like to set up contact GF.

I still think we should call the stadium the Tindome ;D

Due to the extreme drought conditions in Southern Cal. the city has banned all watering of athletic fields. Sand will be put down to help cushion the field  ;D.
