We have the same issues with our students and I can't blame them either.  There have been games that I've wished I could leave at the half.  But given that I run the game clock that probably wouldn't work out very well.

At every level. Nick Saban whined incessantly about student groups leaving early in games last year. If it's not a competitive or interesting game, people will find better things to do. At home you turn the channel, at the game you head out to the tailgate or home to find a different channel. There really isn't a solution for a lot of teams. I'd recommend Nick Saban stop playing UT-Chatanooga, but it's a bit different in D3...

Leaving Dover Delaware, without dropping by Wesley field to watch a practice. Can't keep my mind only in the first half.

Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

Had a chance to spend a little time with a group of the summer crew yesterday and they're primed for the season to start.  Lots of questions to answer and a front loaded schedule....should make for some great football.

....when do they take the field...maybe this week or next?

And don't forget about George Fox :D  They'll be good enough this year to beat a first year NAIA school ;D

Linfield is scheduled to play Chapman on 9/13.  The Panthers are coming off an 8-1 season and appear loaded.
Six Panthers named to USA College Football preseason list
It will be the first game of the season for both teams.  How do the Wildcats match up?

Seriously River?  You took the effort to type this but haven't taken the effort to look at the USA College Football list (or any of the post regarding this BS list in the past)?  Honestly, the article should be titled "ONLY 6 Panthers named to USA College Football preseason list".....  I think the Cats will be just fine.....
Go Cats!

I would have to agree wit M Cat above, that list is really bogus. Nevertheless, I think Chapman performed admirably last year and hopefully can continue their success in the upcoming season and hopefully obtain a bid in the playoffs. As far as the game, it is going to be an interesting game, both teams get to face new foes. I think this will be a good challenge for Chapman to see how they match up with one the great programs across the Division III landscape. However, trust me, I don't think Linfield will have a hard time matching up, they tend to match up pretty well against majority of the teams it faces.

The USA College Football list has zero merit and it's shameful that athletic departments actually press release it....but that's a good question by River.

My answer is...I don't know yet.  Linfield is going to be very talented but we're going to have new faces making their 1st college start in key positions against a pretty good Chapman squad and do it on the road.

I think Linfield will be exceptional on the offensive and defensive lines and we have a boat load of talent in the skill positions (some proven and some not) that need to come together in a hurry.  We'll see it how it goes. Go 'Cats!
