I've booked my plane ticket and will be coming down to watch Linfield @ PLU on Oct. 4th.  Any of you cat fans going to make the trip up?  Or D-Train?
~90% yes for the Oct 4th showdown. Speedy, where did you play home games in the early to mid-80's: FP, Lincoln, or...? That was just before Sparks, right?
We played on the grass at Franklin Pearce High School.  All our playoffs games were on the turf at the Lincoln Bowl except for the '83 National Championship which we lost in the newly opened Tacoma Dome.

After I graduated in '84 at some point they moved over to Lakewood Stadium (High School?) which was turf.

I've only attended one game since graduating, in '92 or '93.  It was against Willamette and was played somewhere in Puyallup.  Maybe Sparks Stadium??  I guess I better figure out where that is before Oct. 4th.

Hope to see you there.

Predicted Order of Finish in the NWC -

1) Linfield
2) PLU
3) Pacific
4) Willamette
5) Whitworth
6) George Fox
7) Lewis & Clark
8) UPS

George Fox pulls two upsets in their first season by beating Lewis & Clark and UPS.

Are wins over L&C and UPS really upsets?

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

I was so looking forward to having Blake Martin and Spencer Payne in the backfield for the next 3 seasons.  Saw that Blake had transferred to USD.. bummer.. Hope that Coburn can carry the load.  Sounds like the 'Cats scrimmage on the 6th of September is a bit more formal this year with uniforms and a bit different format.  At least that is what Kelly Bird told me.  I like it... too bad we can't have an alumni game against the varsity like we used to.  It'd be a great help to the team especially with all the recently graduated talent they'd get to play against.

Odds are that would be their 5th hardest game of the year after PLU, Pacific, Chapman, and Redlands.

I have been watching the morning practices and am surprised at who is getting most the snaps, not surprised by his talent! And I was very sad to see Blake transfer, In my old eyes he was another David Russell.
Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

Anybody had any scrimmages yet or maybe tomorrow?

Whitworth scrimmaged with College of Idaho. I have no idea how it went though, sorry.

I really hope the NWC fans can sleep after seeing this.  Intimidated?

Considering it won't be an upset if GF beats Puget Sound.......I'll sleep well tonight.

George Fox has perhaps the  :o biggest RB in D3 football although I doubt he'll start. They also may have the smallest RB.  I like the 222 lb RB as well as the 200 lb'er.
