CLU Coach McEnroe's tongue-in-cheek blog comment about the "boys in black" and their game this Saturday.   

"Down south, the boys in black finally found a Top 10 opponent for their non-conference schedule in #5 Linfield College. They should be playing these sort of games rather than the bottom half of the Northwest Conference, so I tip my hat to them for joining the party. According to their web site, the Panthers schedule teams that they think they can beat, which won't sit well with the boys from McMinnville (I had to get that one in, especially after Coach O roasted me on the Brandman email joke!)."

Totally agree.  I thought aside from some bad penalties, the Defense played pretty well given the number of "new faces".  Heck--they held Chapman to 14 points and kind of gave them those with the penalties....Our offense has too much talent not to be better moving forward---

CU had opportunities, but a tough defense and some big plays pushed LC to victory.
Congrads to LC, you earned and deserved it! Good luck the rest of the way. You have a very good team that will only get better.

I was very impressed with the large LC following. Your crowd knows the game and were very
well behaved.

It was nice seeing Dennis again and meeting a whole group of fellow posters. You all seem very nice, and are great fans. Hope to see you all again up there next year. It is good putting a face
behind the names and writings.

As for CU, I think they learned a lot tonight.
