I watched the mini highlights 5 times....does that mean I think it's really cool? 8-) 8-) 8-)
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

I'd like to see us having an offensive line surge at the snap... Guys firing off.. Guards pulling.. Center pulling... Tackles trapping... I'm not a big fan of the zone blocking schemes... It is too finesse vs smash mouth and get the d-line on their heels.  As a former receiver I'd like to see fewer bombs and more back shoulder throws on a line as they are much easier to complete and almost impossible to defend.

Will be interested to watch our next game and see the improvement... Hopefully they'll stick with Riddle all game..

Good post WC.

I think the question is what will LF run to pass ratio be? I think if LF has to pass as much as they did last week they might get upset. LF needs to establish a ground game. UR is better up front, (DL and LB) than Chapman. As you know LF runs their zone read a little different than most team and your QB read is the DT, lets see if LF cleans that up. It will be interesting to watch this in person.

Our blocking was our weakest link last week, can only get better , O line and WR holding blocks....is the key to improvement week over week. Pretty basic

Our receivers ran poor routes and could not pull away form MHB db's. Note don't give away what you want to do a pre-snap.  I think the package we run will have to be open up. I would expect to see our QB run the ball a bit more and the field stretched. I think we will open the play book up on first down more than usual zone read play. UR will try to see if Zone read works then change. I would love to see some zone read cut back, and the ball thrown down the middle of your cover 2.
Bottom line how much we get better on the O line exceeds any other topic we both mention if the game is going to be close. If we do not block, we will get smoked. Our defense was on the field for 99 plays last week. We made 5 first downs, one in the first half. The first four series for each team was a punt fest, UR gave MHB a short field 13 times. The young defense could only hold up for so long. They pulled their starting QB after the fourth series, if we have any offense at all the game is close.

We may both be wrong....what if one team scores points for the other team?

Well MC that's obvious...of the two teams only Redlands has the ability to score for the other team so Cats win !
