Thanks OldCatProf ...... Better bring a soft cushion seat to the game 'cuz it's likely to be a lengthy game.
Sounds like a great Idea.

I wasn't able to play in the BWC golf tourney this year but I stopped by to see some of the legends from the Wildcat Football teams of the 60's and 70's.
This is just my  personal observation, but it looked to me like some were "talking"  :o a better golf game then the score card was showing. :D
But, who am I to talk,  I was just a part time paid member of the pep band, as in free pizza for playing at the game.
Hey Blue! maybe that's what it will take to get the band back at the games, pizza and beer?

See you at the game, ..
Homecoming 2014

GO CATS
One game at a time!
Leave no doubt!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

What the heck happened, lost to Pacific!  There goes the playoffs.  Gonna have to fight for second place in the conference now.

I see that Ryan Tipps (and D3Football.com) believes the NWC has slipped to number 7 (Re-ranking the conferences for 2014), a drop of 3-4 places from last year's ranking of the conferences.  He also believes that Linfield (among a group of other wannabees) will find that "the hill is still very steep" to climb to make it to the "ultra-elite" four of D3 Football.  Snap judgments: Where's the dropoff in Division III?  Is the NWC going downhill, especially given the growing competition from the upstart SCIAC, and is it all hype or is Linfield really losing its cachet and mojo in the view of others in DIII?

Both of these things were pretty well discussed and explained (by the writers) in comments section of each article.

...when you get past the quarterfinals they seem to take more notice. But I've noticed that the brackets are rarely evenly matched top to bottom. Some of the "so called " elite teams have had much easier roads than others.

The NWC was a two team conference for 30 years.
The NWC has been gapping between LINFIELD and the rest of the conference for 14 years.
Beating yourself with St. Thomas and Oshkosh might keep a team out of Elite east of the Cascades.
