Chapman really turned the corner as a program this year, kudos to them. Unfortunately, this weekend it's going to be like the time you turned that corner too sharp, not paying attention, and ran into a wall.

Linfield's defense has been playing better than it did in that first game for most of the season and the offense should be firing on all cylinders after the Pacific drubbing.

I expect Linfield to be completely focused despite what happened. They are a well coached program full of dudes who can flat out play. Chapman's only chance is to come out and put up points/force turnovers early and hope they can rattle the Wildcats...and even that may not be enough (ask Hampden-Sydney). Good luck to the Panthers, I think they are going to need it...

Please, Luck is fickle.
Of course I agree with your learned statements.

Chapman upsetting would truly be a stride.

No way, amnesty Jose.

The  memorial (via the Livestream) for Parker Moore last night was well done and it was touching to hear the words spoken about him.  I was also moved by the number of people that turned out to celebrate his life.  I never met Parker but from all I've read and heard, he sounds like an outstanding young man and the perfect model of what a Linfield (and any D3) student athlete should be.
Go Cats!

This one is not going to pretty for Chapman,  They should just save the airfare and phone in a losing score to the Cats and call it a year.  Rest assured , the Catdome will be rockin,  The Truck loads of salt have been delivered for our Salty D.  Our O is healthy, and ready.  Its foot on the gas all day long boys.  The Catdome Nation is behind you.

Catdome strong !!!

Saw the Chapman/Linfield game to kick off the season and have seen Linfield twice since and was able to see Chapman/Redlands a few weeks ago. Both teams without question have improved. Watching Chapman versus Redlands the big difference (at least the second half) was Chapman's running game with McKibbins. We couldn't figure out what Chapman was doing different or what Redlands wasn't doing that second half but he was the difference in that game. Chapman will see a much different Linfield team then they saw in Orange. They will get a QB from the start that is very good and they will see the best running back and highly motivated and skilled offensive line that they have seen all year. If Linfield's defense stops Chapman's running game the Panthers will be in for a long afternoon. If the game is played without injuries and minimal mistakes (turnovers, penalities) contrary to many pundits l think the Cats take the Panthers in a match not as close as the 1st encounter. It has been an emotional week for the Cats and emotion the type that Linfield community experienced, well hard to be sure how it affects play but I have a feeling that the Coaches, Linfield community, Catdome, and #35 will have the boys ready. Chapman is good and a class act but the Cats should prevail and become the playoff team others don't want to see next.

MC Sorry about the double entry,  :o I didn't realize it until now  ;D
You have to admit I had my bases covered picking both teams in some of the match ups  ::)
Thanks for running the show, I'll try and pay attention next year and compete every week.

Go Cats!
Leave no Doubt!!
One game at a Time!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

ADvantage 'Catdome ADvantage Friday Feature: Linfield Strong

Wow! Excellent article and "finish line :"  LINFI3LD 5TRONG

I thought Coach Smith's announcement last night about the Parker Smith Jersey (#35) to be awarded to a defensive player at the beginning of each future season is a fitting tribute to this young man and the start of a wonderful new Linfield tradition. In addition, the clever way that Wildcat 11 incorporated Parker's jersey number into "Linfield Strong" creates a graphic that will also likely live on in Parker's honor.

And now, a message from Parker Moore regarding tomorrow's task:  "GO CATS !!!"

Thanks OCP but I can't take credit for that.  That's all Sara Miller who has been writing these Friday features this season.  She's done a great job.

I'm takin' back about 50% of what I've said about Stretch Internet.

Although I could not get the live stream from them for the Parker celebration Thursday night, I was able to access the 2 hour program today.
Stretch did a good job.

I was so impressed with the cleverness of the LINFI3LD 5TRONG modification at the end of the article that I failed to look at the next line that credited Sara Miller. Sorry, Sara. The entire article, like your others this season was excellent. Thanks.
