My statistician MonroviaCat will confirm this hunch: TLU has had the ball much more time than UMHB.  I understand yesterday CRU scored the two times they had the ball. What offense schemes have they not shown the DIII world, I wonder.
Yes---- TLU ran 99 plays to MHB's 35.  But the differences in the game were TLU's two missed FGs and a couple of turnovers....oh and a punt return for a TD.....
TLU gained 452 yards to MHB's 284.  TLU's game plan was good (and reminded me of Willamette's against us)---keep MHB's offense off the field.....nearly worked for them....if only they had completed a few of those passes to open receivers....
Go Cats!

I'm headed to Belton. Hope to see many CatDome fans there. Was pullling for TLU so we could avenge that 52-8 drubbing we absorbed from them back in 1974 or so. That was a tough game to watch...especially after traveling so far to see it. But I'm excited to play UMHB.

GO CATS!!!

Where should I fly into from Pdx? I've heard to fly into FT Worth then drive over...

Austin is closer.  Actually, the closest airport is Killeen/Ft. Hood, but I don't know if there are any direct flights to Portland as it's a pretty small airport.

DFW isn't a bad choice, it's just that you'll be driving for another 2.5 or so hours once you land.  Austin is probably, oh, an hour away.  Maybe an hour and a half if you don't use the toll road and get stuck in some traffic.

Austin is about an hour south of Belton and DFW is about 2 hours north - Interstate travel all the way - IH 35. Killeen has a nice airport that be might worth checking. It is 15 minutes from Belton. It is possible on occasion to get a decent airfare. Fort Hood is located in the area, so lots of military.

.... I watched to TLU vs UMHB game today...that was a very interesting game....came right down to the wire....not sure why TLU doesn't hurry up to the line and have a play called when they are behind? What's weird though is that they called 99 plays compared to UMHB 35? Really? They could have run 36 more if they'd hurried it up a little? Plus they had a chance to score from inside the 10 and then muffed a field goal or 2?

Unless you have some points or some special deal, the best way is fly into Austin. Easy drive down the 35. Hotels are pretty limited in the area. Redlands has stayed in the Shilough Inn, in Killeen (less than 15 from the stadium straight shot on the Freeway). Rent a car and take advantage of the BBQ, there are a couple cool BBq downtown. Folks are real nice.

Miller's BBQ in downtown Belton is second to none.
