Just heard that Coach Leipold  may be taking a good amount of his staff with him to Buffalo. This may be the end of a era in that of UWW and a reawakening of a Linfield dynasty, thoughts?

Been looking at the satellite picture of Quick Stadium. "Heavens to Mergatroy"...there are no bleachers on the visitor sideline?  Gulp...you mean we will have to sit in enemy territory...among the HOMIES??? Do I need to wear a disguise? Maybe I better stop off at the Bookstore ahead of time and buy a Widener sweatshirt.

Unless they've been removed since my last trip, there is a small row of bleachers on the far side.

My comments were in jest, of course, but even so, a "small row of bleachers" is insufficient for our fans who will attend. But, no problem. We CatDomers will enjoy interacting with the Widener folks and look forward to our visit.

A Widener poster said that many opposing fans choose to sit on their side because the visitor's standa are so low to the ground.  He said there have never been problems that he was aware of.

Thats not entirely true..

I posted on the MAC board that the visitor's stands are small.  There is never large amounts of traveling fans in the MAC, so there is not a real need for huge visitors stands.  You can also stand around the field on the "Cannon" side and get great views when the play is on that side of the field.

There have been issues in the past.  Hopefully those folks are long gone (think 2000ish)...  The one issue with the field where it is, is that it forces everyone out of the complex in a bottleneck.  And it's a long walk back to the parkinglots co-mingled...
I have not personally seen any issues, but I think Pat, Dave and Keith have (as I mentioned)...
Unless you are rubbing it in, I doubt you would have any issue wearing your garb...

Even with the 2004-2005 outstanding years, we've never really been a dynasty in D3. Typically we're an excellent program but with a few (for us) down years in there too. We, like a few other schools, think we're close to being a dynasty but we haven't achieved it yet on a national level...but aspire to.

If we can get past Widener I'd sure like to get another shot at UWW before the coaching change. We've had some real barnburners with them over the years. Unfortunately, it's always been our barn that got burned.

I love my Cats more than any team in college football ( all levels ) but I have to agree OCP we are a great football program but until we go to the finals consistantly the elite remains with the current 2 teams in D3.

And I say he is staying away from the horse track and casino.

But before he leaves tomorrow he has to jump in where the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers meet. It's aright of passage and might bring good luck.

How come the Chapman game is available "On Demand" on stretchinternet, but the UMHB game is not available on their stretchinternet website.  I really want to see the game from start to finish.
