Thanks Voice--I am aware of that--was just pointing out the error....and that a Linfield v Mt Union matchup would be fun.
That being said--it is still listed on the ESPN website as broadcast on ESPN3 (with the wrong matchups) as of 6:30 AM Pacific Time.....

The game is listed two different ways on ESPN (once on ESPN3, once on ESPNU) depending on where you look. We will try to clear this up for everyone.
Pat, can you clear up what espy channel will be picking up games next weekend? My cable provider does not have espn3 but does have espnU so I hope games will be televised on espnU. Unfortunately I look on dec.13 for games on espnU and don't see d3 games;-(....I hope my provider (comcast) just hasn't updated yet.
Great game by the Cats yesterday, Go Cats!
I think (though I could be wrong) that ESPN3 is only an online stream not an actual TV channel...
ESPNU Channel 141 on Dish
Direct 208
Verizon/Fios 73
Has anyone been able to "confirm" games will be on espnU? I goto my cable (comcast in normal) and surf out to next Saturday and do not see games listed on espnU. I sure would love to watch game thru my big tv hopefully in HD.

Glad to see something went right for Widener head coach Mike Kelly this weekend: as he requested Saturday, the Seahawks won.  ;D

Man--CATS week just got harder---ESPN broadcast schedule now has Linfield at Mt. Union at 12:00 Eastern and then Linfield at Whitewater at 3:30 Eastern....

LOL!

I guess Wesley get a bye and can start prepping for the Stagg!   ;D

And what a break for UWW - getting to play Linfield immediately after they play UMU! ;D

But what an opportunity for the Cats - slay TWO purple monster within 7 hours! :D

Let's hope Chip Kelly doesn't blast Coach Smith for teaching a Northwest team how to win in Philly ::)

Oh. We can do this. Even if we lose to UMU in triple over time we still get to play Whitewater, I guess.

MacQuiz

Interesting(but why be surprised)....The sports media world is heralding

"First Ever College Football Playoffs!"
"THE METTLE'S IN THE MEN!"

I know MLB does the split squad spring training games; heck of a time for the NCAA to experiment with the idea in football...  ;D

This is like an auto racer doing the Indy 500 and then flying to and racing the  _(fill in blank)  500 all in the same day!!

If Linfield wins both games, will they get two chances to beat Wesley?

Well

To close a topic that has already been beat to death...Chip on the radio this morning discussing the Mike Kelly/Chip Kelly kerfluffle...

I think Chip put a cap on that.

Thanks bman....we're going to need all the luck we can get against the Warhawks.

Westside

All-Region Teams were announced.

Congrats to Dylan Jones and Alex Hoff, the two NWC representatives on the first team. Surprised Hoff wasn't named the Defensive POY, considering he leads the nation in sacks and tackles for loss (granted 6 sacks are in the last two games and this was probably already voted for).

Also congrats to Charlie Poppen, Steven Schultz, Jeremy Patrick, Eric Pitassi, Jeremy Girod, and Jordan Giza. All are deserving of second team honors!

Lastly, congrats to Tevon Stephens-Brown Kevin McLean on their third team mention!
NWC Baseball

Pat Coleman

Confirming that the games will be live on ESPN3 only. ESPNU will re-air them later in the week, which is probably why the NCAA.com bracket has ESPNU logos on these games.

Not already voted for, but the postseason stats are not included on the nominations.

...and I'm assuming postseason performance can have influence on the A-A voting?

Pat Coleman

Influence is the appropriate word, yes.
