Great game Linfield.  I said before the game it was too bad one of the two weren't going to advance.

I don't need to tell the Linfield fans how good your team is.  Of all the good things I saw from them, I was most impressed with the pass defense by the secondary.  Whether it was Kumerow or Howard, the coverage was incredibly tight.

I'm pretty sure I read an article that the secondary was young, but they played like veterans.

Anecdote on this 2014 edition being a special team.
In October at homecoming a friend from Gainesville, FL, and one from Placerville, CA, were walking around the campus with me.  I took them to walk the new turf as practice was breaking up.  I had them stand at mid-field and took their picture on the L. As we were walking off the field three players came to us and introduced themselves. Two more joined them. My Gainesville friend went to Annapolis every year with his father whom was a graduate. He said the LINFIELD guys reminded him of the Midshipmen at the Academy.
One of the players was Parker Moore.

Nothing but proud of this Linfield Team. To do what they have all season and in the playoffs with the travel and played the #1 team in the nation down to the wire. Fantastic job! LINFI3LD 5TRONG!!!

I agree 100%.   After losing the largest group of seniors I had ever seen at Linfield in 30 years, this Wildcat team was a pleasant surprise this year.
To be so close to winning today should be notice to anyone in D-III, that we were better than a #10 ranking!!

Thanks coaches for another great year!

George

The loss clearly influenced that ranking, but to put you below 3 at this point would be unjust...

Congrats on a great season...

Unless Mount wins the Stagg, then you could make a very good argument for John Carroll at 3.
If UWW wins, then I put my rankings this way

1.   WWW
2.   Linfield
3/4.   Mount Union or Wartburg, depending on score of the Stagg Bowl
5.   John Carroll
6.   Mary Hardin-Baylor
7.  UW Oshkosh

Outstanding tribute!  If you invoke Navy Midshipmen as a standard, then you've got my attention!
IMO...it's the highest testament of character and mettle in the men!
Thank you for that DO.C!!!

Such a wonderful time yesterday in the Perk with WC11, meeting DC1 and Calcat, and many of the Linfield faithful!   Can not say enough about what a class act your team, staff and fans are.  I don't even care if I am putting my Warhawk fan status in jeopardy by saying this, but my overwhelming feeling after the game was to feel way more disappointed for the Cat family than happy for my team.  From the amazing game in 05 to the incredible adversity your team and fans suffered, only 3 short weeks ago, and the games in between,  I have only love and respect for the Cats program.  I told WC11 after the game, I thought they were going to win, and that would have made me happy.  If not the Hawks in Salem, the Cats would have given me the same pleasure!  I hope to see it happen one day soon.  Congrats on a wonderful season!    Have a wonderful holiday season, everyone!    :-*

It gives me immense pride to know that I have the best college football program in Oregon right in my backyard. Thank You Cats.

Does anyone know if there is an archive of all the playoff brackets and results from 1999 in one place? If not, where are they located individually?

I cannot promise our archives are all perfectly rendered after our server move a few years back but this should help:

Great run by the Cats and a lot to be proud of...but two other Oregon teams are still playing.
