Is that an aftershock from the Riley departure / Anderson hire?

I don't know what all is behind that move.

Maybe he wanted to be back in the small college game anyway?

Maybe Riley wasn't going to offer him a new job in Lincoln...or maybe he did, but Locey didn't want to move?

I believe he interviewed at L&C before (or as) they announced Anderson, so I don't know how that affects things?   

I'm not at all surprised that L&C would make him an offer, but a little curious why Locey was interested.  It'll be quite a task.

Does anyone know if there is an archive of all the playoff brackets and results from 1999 in one place? If not, where are they located individually?

I was hoping Jay wouldn't take the L&C job given the lousy support that students, faculty and administration have given their previous head coaches. On the other hand, it adds to the number of NWC head coaches with Linfield backgrounds. Jay is a top-quality person and (if it's possible for anyone to resurrect the Pioneer football program) I believe Jay will do it.

Except for one Saturday afternoon per year, I wish my friend the best. Congrats to L&C for an excellent hire. I hope they are worthy of him.

It gives me immense pride to know that I have the best college football program in Oregon right in my backyard. Thank You Cats.

Great run by the Cats and a lot to be proud of...but two other Oregon teams are still playing.

I'm biased good luck to those other 2 teams. I've enjoyed the road trips to Ashland when the cats and raiders use to lock horns.

Congratulations to Alex Hoff in being named an Associated Press 1st Team Little All-American. This team is made up of players from D2, D3, and the NAIA. Hoff is the second 'Cat in program history to be named to the 1st team (Brett Elliott 2004). Four others have been named either 2nd or 3rd team (Dom Forrest 2nd (2013), Ty Matthews 3rd (2003), Brett Elliott 3rd (2005), and Scott Millenbach 3rd (2009)).

As I was going through the menu to set my DVR to record the Stagg Bowl (I'm headed to the Cal - Eastern Washington basketball game this evening) I noticed there was a replay on ESPNU of the NCAA D-III semifinal today between the Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks and the Linfield Lynx.  When did the Cardinal & Purple change to a specific type of wildcat?
