In the Vernon Adams to Oregon saga, I thought this was an interesting/funny line:

"Obviously Oregon doesn't feel like they recruited or developed a guy [behind Mariota] to the same level we did in Cheney, Washington," Baldwin said Monday. "I'll be honest, that can be a little bit frustrating and I would ask the question because I don't see myself finding my next QB at (Division III) Linfield in that regard."

Beau said it a funnier way in the AM 700 ESPN interview.  Something like: "I don't think Urban Meyer is out looking for his next QB at Northern Iowa."

D O.C.

So who won awards at the LINFIELD football banquet?

Are there changes in Linfield's 2015 schedule?    It has still not been posted on the LC website?

GT

Same teams but conference schedule is shuffled.

Thank you.   I thought something was changing.

Vernon Adams could be the next Russel Wilson if he stays healthy....this guy is the real deal.

ADvantage 'Catdome: The 2014 Linfield Wildcats get together one last time at annual team banquet.
Being a resident of McMinnville I have ran into the players from time to time when they are not in season. Not only are these young men very good athletes they are also very good people. It gives me hope in this me first society, that there is still young people with the morale fortitude to make the world a better place. GO CATS

UR posted their schedule, They have the LF game time at TBD, it has to be a noon or 1 pm  game so UR can catch a flight back to avoid staying an extra night. What is typical kick off time for LF opening games? UR is cheap and I know Maynard like to get the boys home so they can study on Sunday and given them the day off.

I think the E. Wash coach should rethink his recruiting strategy.  The current QB at Linfield is quite good.

Yeah, I'm guessing Baldwin didn't quite understand/intend the irony in his statement. Riddle was and is FCS material. Adams appears to be Pac-12 material, but we'll see.

'Cats 2015 schedule is out.  The NWC shuffled up the schedule but result is Linfield not having to leave the state of Oregon until the regular season finale at PLU.

Go Cats!

My gut, tells me the UR game will be a bit closer this year than last. I would still put LF at 10 to 14 favorites. The premise is UR defense should be better than last year (7 or 8 experienced players coming back, with entire D line two deep back and best linemen was hurt last year too), and if the O line can improve, they will be heavy but does not mean good. If the latter does not happen, #55 will make UR have a long afternoon and it wont matter. Hopefully UR doubles him, I still can understand why UR did not adjust (double him, versus at times leaving TE to block him). I wanted to go ask UR coaches what they were thinking. He destroyed us.
