D O.C.

Accepted.
It was supposed to be a game for the NWC crown.
It wasn't.

Not to get into a debate over our selections, but strength of schedule is definitely a factor sometimes as well. And the Hendrix kid's performance was pretty rare.
agreed.  really.

Here is a link to the photos I took at the 1979 PLU vs Linfield game.  Let me know if the link does or does not work.

There is a considerable amount of wash out in the center of the photos.  They are scanned from slides.  Not much action in the photos.  One of what I believe is Brad Westering throwing a pass, one of Linfield #12 after he scored Linfields TD.  Mostly the photos are of the Linfield punt return team and #57.  He is my brother and was a backup linebacker at Linfield that year as a sophomore.

The final score was PLU 7, Linfield 6.  We went on to make the playoffs and lose the semi-final game to eventual champion Findlay, Ohio.

Unfortunately it looks like the only way we see a 7 and a 6 this weekend would be Linfield 76-0.

Just the way we like it as long as GHC brings the blue jug and we are under cover.  Cats defense shuts down PLU and we run away from PLU by half.

Just saw on NCAA Div III.  I would think that St Thomas will go North, Mt. Union East, Linfield West, and who knows about South.  More than likely John Hopkins.  See you all at PLU.  Going up tomorrow, spending some time at a couple of great Casinos and winning some winter travel money I hope

It's "o.k." but makes no sense (IMO)--last week I attributed St. Thomas' higher SOS for their ranking ahead of us.  This week, our SOS passed (temporarily I think) theirs but we remain behind them......they are apparently thinking the win against St. Johns is significantly better than our win over Whitworth (ranked 5 and 6).....otherwise---it's a tie and we should own the tie-breaker.....  That being said--I think we are sitting in a good position to be a one of the top seeds and get home games for at least 3 rounds....(assuming we play our game this weekend)

I don't think the "regional" pods are necessarily worth thinking about anymore===last year we played a team from the west, south, and east in our quadrant.  I would suspect something similar again this year.

I'm thinking the Cats take care of business like they should and they stay at home until the semis.

I totally agree with Gren, but we need to take care of business Saturday against the Lutes, then the fun begins.
