Although you have your rematch...which I think it was predicated on the travel restriction, because I think Whitworth should have been UW-Plateville, you have a easy two rounds and third round that I think you guys would win early in the second half, then a possible matchup against Mount Union in the Stagg, unless you other West teams take them out...

This needs to stop.  Honestly.  Take the foil hat off.

What foil hat? Only thing on or above my head is the sky and Jesus.

You're spewing nonsense and perpetuating garbage conspiracies about how the selection process works.  Whitworth wasn't picked because of money.  That's not what happened.

Wally, in all honesty, I have seen so much in corporate America, which I think the NCAA should fall under to know that money is the root of all evil and my "garbage" conspiracy may or may not have been a factor, but know that the Committee looks at all factors and money is definitely one of them. Again, I'm not going around on each board spewing this "garbage" conspiracy. I have my opinion and you have yours.

Teams may get paired together because of money, yes.

Selected for the field because of money?  No.

I think you have a very misguided view of who the people on the committee are and what their function is.  You're doing an immense disservice to those people and I feel like they ought to be defended a bit.

I think you've got a really, really out of touch view with how much "business" Division III football is.

I was hoping it would be Platteville at Linfield instead of Whitworth.  That's the two schools my brother played for.

Don't bet on it.

Enjoyed the Saturday night show, wally.
Surprised at brackets, probably like many.
Let's go!

while it is never safe to assume anything, given the score of the earlier game and this game being at St. Johns, I would bet on St. Johns winning.  I mean, have you guys really improved that much, or St. Johns tailed off that much?  No offense intended.

Like this bracket... after Whitworth. Haven't always thought the 'Cats received the respect they deserved in this process. Seems to be dead on this year.

FarAwayCat

Congrats to Whitworth for making it in!
And as previously stated by Geore T another congrats to George Fox and UPS as well.  The scary thing is what happened with Willamette and PLU this year.  Next year will be very fun to watch in the NWC to see how things progress.
It's been an exciting year to watch the Cats and especially the Defense.  I don't feel that our offense has seen anywhere near the great tests that they are about to see in the playoffs (i guess that's obvious) so it's really going to be time to step up.  First step will be WHitworth, they're certainly hoping that we are already looking past them and it would be hard to blame the Cats for doing so, but I know the coaching staff never allowed us to attempt this and so I don't think they will be doing any such thing.
This year's defense has been so incredible to watch.  Can't wait to watch them when put up against some of the Nation's best.
Go Cats!
Leave No Doubt!

ps.  If the Cats do in fact make it to the championship game I will be torn between attending it or attending my own wedding! (damn if only I could reschedule)

D O.C.

Always plan ahead this time of year.
Ask the NCAA if you can get married on the field before the Stagg. Always good publicity.:)
Yeah, Whitworth overcoming the changes but running into one of the best teams in the country. Good job.
