Congrats to Whitworth for making it in!
And as previously stated by Geore T another congrats to George Fox and UPS as well.  The scary thing is what happened with Willamette and PLU this year.  Next year will be very fun to watch in the NWC to see how things progress.
It's been an exciting year to watch the Cats and especially the Defense.  I don't feel that our offense has seen anywhere near the great tests that they are about to see in the playoffs (i guess that's obvious) so it's really going to be time to step up.  First step will be WHitworth, they're certainly hoping that we are already looking past them and it would be hard to blame the Cats for doing so, but I know the coaching staff never allowed us to attempt this and so I don't think they will be doing any such thing.
This year's defense has been so incredible to watch.  Can't wait to watch them when put up against some of the Nation's best.
Go Cats!
Leave No Doubt!

ps.  If the Cats do in fact make it to the championship game I will be torn between attending it or attending my own wedding! (damn if only I could reschedule)
I would reschedule my wedding if not you might have to make a difficult decision year after year. ;D

The future wife does, because that's the only time they could book the venue I'm betting. Run dude while you can, marriage is a bad deal for a man.

Yeah, really bad!  Married men only live about 10 years longer on average than unmarried men! :o

(And, no it's not just that it seems longer; it truly is. ;))

But it is true that a football fan should never put up with a fall wedding! ;D

You can keep those extra 10, miserable years. I'll gladly stay single swimming in an abundance of hot women in LA/OC. But for the impending groom, just remember that hypergamy doesn't care.

As a retired minister and having officiated at many weddings/social show-off events, I would say a wedding is a good way to ruin an otherwise nice weekend, especially during football season.

I fail to see the connection.

Go Cats!

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

I am expecting a much, much different final score this Saturday than what we saw for the prior matchup. Whitworth now knows what they have to bring to the game, they have nothing to lose, no pressure, etc., etc. The Cats can easily look ahead to the next weeks game and have a Willamette 2014 on their hands very easily..

I'm not buying that at all. No chance the team overlooks anyone at this point of the season. Especially seniors, when they know every game going forward could be their last ever. Whitworth had nothing to lose last time, etc., etc. I expect a better game, but I just don't think Whitworth's offense matches up well with Linfield. They throw short and quick passes, and Linfield is too athletic for that to be successful multiple times. I think a team has to pound the rock and be physical upfront to win this year.

One thing to add, I feel like Linfield has ran an extremely conservative offense this year, and there really hasn't been a reason to do anything otherwise. I am sort of excited to face a team that will force the Cats to sling the ball just as much as they run it.

I see the early forecast shows a dry weekend. So here's to hoping that the stadium is packed and the game is fast and fun.
