Gig Harbor Cat

Great job by the Cats today.  Cortland was no joke.  Well coached etc...  You could tell that they were used to pushing people around.   Lots of large human beings !!!   Gotta give props to their QB.  He got pounded all day and never tapped out, you could see just how tough he is when he is on.  Our Salty D was awesome.

What a day
Phone it in.  Next !!!

Great weather for football yesterday and fantastic job by Cats Defense.
Also nice to have a backup QB that could start anywhere else in D3.

Looking forward to Saturday's game. Unfortunately I'll be in grad class unable to fly up for the game, but I'll have the video on!

UMHB is the definite underdog, and I know we will have to play our best. Our D can be really good, so I hope their two Jr. leaders in Smith and Mullins remember the sour taste from last year and lead the team this week in practice.

Our two RB's make for a good tandem, and I hope they are used wisely.

Our number 2 QB that went down in last season's game versus Linfield was injured this week, but he is supposed to be back for next week. He brings a great balance to our starter.

Weather won't be an issue as mid 40's with rain is what we played in this week and wind as well. Should be a great clash.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

That hurdle was sick!  The fact that we lost two games is testament to the E8.  I think the E8 has some comparable offenses to Linfield but no one in the E8 compares to your defense.  That was the key.  Someone reminded me that you had three all conference DB's and I didn't weight that all that highly given the comparatively weak conference.  Boy, was I wrong!  Outstanding coverage all day.  Enjoy another week at home and good luck vs the CRU.

clandfan...all 4 LINFIELD Dbs were All Conference.

A very important one left the game with an injury. Hope your guy is alright. He was getting some yards before he went down.

Great job Cats....Cortland was a much better team than I anticipated (especially in the first half).  The third quarter was Linfield on fire as usual even with the injuries.  Next Saturday will clearly be the best team the Cats have faced this year and will need their A game for all four quarters to move on.

My oldest son and I will be present and accounted for in McMinnville on Saturday! I am looking forward to the trip for a couple of reasons. One, I want to yell myself hoarse rooting for The CRU and, two, I lived in McMinnville from 1999 to until 2006. I look forward to reconnecting with some good friends.

UMHB is going to have its hands full with the Wildcats. I'm hoping The CRU buckles the chin straps on tight and we have a good ballgame. It looks like typical winter weather in the Willamette Valley on Saturday - wet, wet and more wet with chilly thrown in for good measure.

Go CRU!

My best friends boyfriends, girlfriends cousin knows this guy who knows this girl who saw Sam Riddle dancing the Watusi at the Blue Moon last night. Not sure what this means for his status this week.

That being said I'm looking forward to Saturday like I haven't looked towards a game in a whole year. Tailgate starts at 7am. Welcome to all the visiting cru. I'm anxious to see you screw up your face in an awkward snarl while holding your hand in the shape of a 'c'.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

The big question is how meaningful much of that is when it's against the other teams' second-stringers, or overmatched first-stringers. Not the same as facing UMHB. Here's game-by-game:

kind of the question for most QB's/offenses this time of year, no?  (o.k. except for Whitewater and Oshkosh)....
Go Cats!
