I will be involved in somber reflection of my actions.

The big question is how meaningful much of that is when it's against the other teams' second-stringers, or overmatched first-stringers. Not the same as facing UMHB. Here's game-by-game:

kind of the question for most QB's/offenses this time of year, no?

If you're talking about backups, yes. Even looking through purple glasses you can't deny that Knecht is going to have a much different experience this Saturday than he did vs. Pacific or L&C or PLU or UPS or even Whitworth late in the game when the score has been decided.

I'm not disagreeing with you--I'm just saying that most QB's/Offenses have been up against "overmatched" defenses and that becomes less and less likely as you move deeper into the playoffs.  Certainly the MHB QBs have not seen anything like the Linfield Defense yet this season.  But yes---Tommy has a big challenge ahead of him (as do all of the CATS).

I think I put that up knowing it was inferred he was not a starter and given game time with a comfortable lead.
PC,you stated somewhere he was competent? That's all we can ask for now. And the DEFENSE to get us a win.

Forget the first 10 games.   Knecht's performance against Cortland was OUTSTANDING!!   A narrow 14-10 at halftime was not Knecht's fault.   But, he then led us to 24 straight points and a 38-10 lead.   WOW!   I was most impressed.

Yes, he may be our 2nd stringer, but most D3 coaches would love to have him for their starter!    Riddle or Knecht, in my humble opinion, can lead our offense to a W.   But it will not be easy against MHB---always a powerhouse.

Oh my....what a sad day for us!
The last time I spoke with Bill, I was walking across the parking lot at the grocery store and he roared up in that "Hot" Camero that he loved; stopping right in front of me. "Boom"!
All it took was him to see me wearing a Linfield football camp tee shirt and the conversation was on!!!

I will miss him terribly....

I had the opportunity to meet Bill when we (UW-Whitewater) were in Alliance for the 2005 D3 playoff game against Linfield.  Bill had a certain presence about him and loved talking football. He was a pro's pro. Rest in peace my friend
