Condolences to the Linfield family.  I was a little critical of Saturday's broadcast and apologize. My thoughts and prayers to his family and to you all who knew him and listened to his broadcasts over the years.

Shocked and saddened to hear about Bill Johnson; it had been so good to see him back in the press box Saturday. His enthusiasm and devotion to his craft were second to none. He'll be missed at the Catdome and coming through my speakers.

Bill was one of the nicest and most positive, outgoing guys I've ever met. RIP Bill.

Good luck to Linfield this week.  I'm looking forward to seeing Wildcat11 and Desertcat1 shivering in the cold of December in St. Paul.

I'll be sitting in the Fowler Veranda hurling fbombs and such at your players.   ;) ::)

I was briefly in the booth on Saturday and it was clear that something was wrong. Bill wasn't communicating well with the other broadcaster, his spotter, or the guys back at the radio station (during commercials). Bill had been in an auto accident the Saturday before and I assumed he was either hurting physically from that or affected by pain meds necessitated by the accident. Also, he just didn't look good.

ClandFan: You were not out of line for commenting on the play-by-play. We were all a little mystified. RIP Bill Johnson.

"lower body injury"
I smell politics.

I have had lower body injuries that I can remember. They were specific (non political):
sprained left ankle (twice)
strained right ankle
torn left hamstring (permanent)
right heel 'stone bruise'
kneed in the glut (swollen 3 x for 4 days)
kicked in the nards
left calf tear

I never told anyone I suffered a lower body injury.   8-)

(the knees are still great -thanks)

Since d3 doesn't require any injury reports, and no one from inside the cats brain trust will (rightfully) say anything, trying to guess whether Riddle will play is like trying to guess how drunk I'll get at the tailgate- you just never know, and you'll have to show up to see.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

We can sit here, breaking down this game until we have gone around and around a thousand times. All the words in the world aren't necessary though when every umhb/Cat game has come down to tackling and turnovers. It was that way in Salem and it'll be that way Saturday. The cru has turned the ball over against us. It has cost them every time.

I can still see Eric Hedin's eyes light up through his helmet when the ball got into his possession, 2009.
