Thanks, George. I guess I can safely get on that airplane tomorrow and fly to Oregon. Watch out McMinnville. Here I come.

re:  the boards being quiet

1.  Not much to talk about since the season hasn't started
2.  Facebook/twitter/etc. have replaced these boards for a large segment of the population
3.  Bluenote has gotten more efficient with deleting his posts so we don't even see them before they're gone....
Go Cats!

Pretty much....

Wildcat, what are your thoughts on LF being #1 in the Sporting News preseason poll?

The good thing about D3 is the polls do not matter much, the same 5 or 6 teams will be there at the end battling it out on the field, instead of in the press. The real story is did we miss a team that could sneak in there.

Thanks, Cat...I agree with your blog, 100% ....I think LF being perceived as they are help our entire region. If the West Coast did not have LF we would be considered bottom 1/3 of D3 Football.

IDK, the bottom 1/3 of D3 is pretty bad (should say noncompetitive). There are a number of teams that would struggle in the SCIAC. Do you remember how many autobid teams where monkey stomped in last year's first round?

Agreed.  Some entire conferences are TRULY bad.  The west coast without Linfield would perhaps be middle-third, but not bottom third.

George, you won't ruffle my feathers by suggesting that a lack of 'suspense' in the NWC has likely helped to drive down the post count of this board.

Hmmmmm....That time of year again....I'm slowly getting psyched.  Did the Cats come up with a second wave of recruits.  I only saw one report.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Nice call---that fact that you put Claremont in there shows that you did your research (I had to look into them myself to figure out what you were thinking!).

Why so high on C-M-S? Returning a lot of production? Players coming back from injury? Transfer QB from UCLA?

I was curious so I checked it out.  Using a 21 point spread 12 of 16 first round games resulted in monkey stomps.  One other one had a 20 point spread and another 19 points.
