One more forecast update from Weather Underground for Saturday's game at The CRUthedral: Less than 10% chance of rain during the game with temps in the mid to upper 80s and a very slight southerly breeze. A 15% chance of rain during the afternoon with a high of 91. It looks like a picture-perfect fall day for Central Texas; a great day for D3 college football!
Headed out tonight!  Looking forward to the game, the food, and maybe seeing some of y'all (can I say that if I'm from Southern California?)  What would be a good time to show up at the game (as far a parking, getting tickets, etc....)?

I would get there early. 4:30 would be good.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Great--thanks!

I usually get there an hour before, but we are on the home side, the visitor side is pretty wide open, cool thing is the visitor side has seating really close the the team so they can def hear you and it's individual seats. You can go into the Bawcom center (right behind you) and check out the food courts or campus store if you would like, get there a bit earlier if that is the case. I would suggest seating in the mid to the side farther from the scorebord/Bigboard... that way you can see the replays better, if your up against the board you have to take your eyes off the field, But seating at the mid and away, you see the field and the board really nice.

If you sit the home side, you won't have any issues, it's a competitive but chill crowd, upstairs gives a pretty great view but your farther away of course, we call it the golf clap crowd....(Sorry season ticket holders but it's true)

The craziest area is where I get into, the student zone or as close as possible. Rowdy, loud...Last game Linfield came to town I got to talk to some of their fans, great group, we had a great conversation...I wish it was about our win.. bbuuttt.....

MonroviaCat...I'm jealous of you and CalCat, of course.
So I suggest you two rendezvous about 2:30 pm in the heat of the 91 degrees and then take a few warm-up laps around the stadium.

sounds like a good way to wash down a few pounds of BBQ

Posted this on the ASC board but thought I'd it here:

Linfield folks:  Another BBQ restaurant in Austin that is outstanding is Stiles Switch BBQ on N. Lamar.  Food is great!  Cool note about it, they are actually in the building that was used for the pool hall scenes in Dazed and Confused.   Enjoy.

As always, great job, Wildcat 11! I only hope your predicted winner is incorrect.  ;D

Final update for game time conditions at The CRUthedral for tomorrow's big game between UMHB and Linfield from Weather Underground: Temp at kickoff will be a comfortable 91 degrees  (a month ago it would have been triple digits) and will drop a few degrees during the game and be in the upper 80s. About a 6% chance of rain - so there will be a dry track. A slight breeze will be coming from the south at around 6 mph. There will also be a full moon. An awesome evening to take in a D3 football game.

ADvantage 'Catdome : 2016 Game 2 Preview: Linfield (1-0) at UMHB (2-0)
great preview wildcat11. You going to get to take in any of the Belton hospitality when in town or are you going to busy the whole time
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Bawcom may be closed. They started doing that this season. I sit in the "golf clap crowd" but am anything but!

A little bummed wc11 was too busy to get a pick 'em post up...though it's probably best for my karma on the boards that he didn't  ;)

Is that one of the most lopsided losses in recent history?  :-X

CamCat

As long as I've been following Linfield football I have never seen a defeat like this one. What a disappointment.
We most of the time forget what it's like to lose but to lose like this was extremely disheartening.

or ever?

Has Linfield ever given up 66, or lost by 39?
