::) Convenient where you stopped listing teams...

9. Saint Johns plays the #12 ranked team, whose two losses were very competitive games against #2 and #4 (more competitive than another team's loss to #1, it could be pointed out).

It's the playoffs George, playing good teams is inevitable. If anything, the Midwest teams got no favors this year. The 3/4 of the MIAC & WIAC have to go through each other. The CCIW teams have to potentially matchup in Rd 2. There were ways this bracket could have been constructed so that this wasn't the case. 7 of the d3football top 15 are teams from MN, WI and IL and none of them got a cakewalk to the semis.

Sorry, I didn't have time to do all 25 ranked teams.

However, none of those 7 teams had a higher ranked opponent on the road in Round 1 than Linfield.    HSU was TOUGH.   And look at all the scores.    LC didn't win by 35 or 40 points.   LC would have beaten many of those teams by far more than 14 points.

And LC should be at least a 2 TD underdog vs. MHB.    Onward, Road Warriors.

1.  MHB plays an unranked team.
2.  UW-W plays an unranked team, who has 3 losses.
3.  St. Thomas plays an unranked team, who lost by 24 points to another  unranked team.
4.  UW-Oshkosh plays an unranked team, who has 2losses.
5.  North Central plays an unranked team, who has 2 losses.
6.  John Carroll plays an unranked team, who lost by 42 points to another  unranked team.
7.  Mount Union plays the # 19 ranked team.

8. Linfield plays the #11 ranked team.

Coach Smith is right.   NCAA's votes are dominated by midwest and east teams and they care less about the west coast.

So two wrongs make a right ? :'(

No, but three rights make a left.   :)

I made the first trip to Texas this year.  We will win next week.  What we have is way better than game film to review !!

Phone it in, Cats by 10
Stormtroopers are on the move baby.

GHC out !!

Looking around at other box scores and Monmouth had 9 turnovers and lost by only 7 pts. I'm thinking Coe is in trouble against St Thomas.

554 total yards of O for the Cats.  Cowboys had a net 15 yards rushing.  Impressive job boys, way to fire up the Salty D.  Safe travels back to the Catdome.  As we move along, just remember a song by George Straight,  All of my ex's live in Texas.  Get er done.

D.O.C. - I'll offer one apropos of the effectiveness of our complaints about the logic of the N.C.A.A.: Pissin' in the Wind.

WE will beat umhb by 11 or 19.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Catjumper...I know. I'm all wet.
Remember outliers like George Fox women's basketball, their men's baseball, our baseball, and football, are just unavoidable blips down at the end of the Bell Curve.
What's supposed to happen is the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater winning football, basketball and baseball all in the same school year.

D.O.C. - I'm in complete agreement with you: my lament is that it seems pointless to argue the competitive disadvantage West Coast teams seem stuck with on a near-constant basis in DIII. We're singing from the same Jerry Jeff songbook; maybe we can just keep this line in mind tonight: "Texas, I'm just a little lost, but I'm keepin' on ..."
