I drove down from Dallas for the Redlands and Linfield games to support my left coast friends.

I was looking forward to another game like the last time I saw Riddle play a couple of years ago.
That said, the UMHB had a huge line.  They seemed to move 75 from tackle to guard during the game (my friend knows him).

But in both games the UMHB quarterback made some great sideline throws.

Good luck next year.

PS:  I never understood that first time out (or not).  Not a charged time out?

IMHO.... When the coach states it is a raw deal that no school/conference should be slighted then he speaks for all of us.
We took a win half the d3 staff thought we could. We got outplayed by the best team in the country.
If we complain about the ncaa mentality any more we're tilting at a windmill.
Let's hope the NWC improves their hand. We've slipped to the middle of the d3 pack. That's nowhere.

Linfield is one of the classiest programs in D3. It starts with Coach Joe Smith and trickles down to his players. Sam Riddle is the epitome of Wildcat class. See ya'll at the Catdome in September.

I know it seems like "the thing to do" when you win, but really, hats off to the 'Cats.  It's such a bummer we will not see Sam and Teidrick battle each other anymore.  I know people have already made the #whyd3 comments, but it's worth sharing again.

GF the Cats tried to call time but evidently after play clock expired thus delay of game. Refs then granted time out at same time. Cat coaches thought time had been granted and didn't realize penalty was going to be accessed and set up play to go for it on 4th down. When they realized ball was set back 5 yards they went after refs on it claiming they had beat clock. They lost that argument and had to kick field goal but won argument they should not be charged timeout. Refs didn't do a good job of making that clear other than to coaches that they reversed timeout call.

Linfield's sideline was screaming for a timeout with about 5 seconds on the clock but the officials never heard it. It was a raw deal but there was no guarantee that Linfield would have punched it in anyways.  It was a bad break but that's football.

Thanks CalCat and Wildcat11.

I saw the play but wondered why the scoreboard was showing a time out.  I think you guys explained it.

GrayFox....what is your take on a UR and LF match up. I would have LF a 10-14 pt favorite.

At the Hardin-Simmons-Linfield football game, what was with the people on the sidelines holding up the towels?

"Chad Grubbs, HSU sports information director, said coaches believed that someone on the visitor's sideline had a camera and was relaying the offensive signals to the Linfield coaches."

UR played an almost perfect game and over their heads.  UMHB knew what to look out for and didn't travel to obscure places two weeks in a row.
So I think LF would be more like 24 pt favorite.
FYI:  I just ran this on Massey and they said the same.  I'm Amazed at my skill.  LOL

+1
Would have pulled Riddle early 4th so 24 could have shrunk to 17.
