Wildcat 11, great job on the opening...what's your take on who is going to be the QB starter this season?

I think that Fowler and Wilder are both the clear top two candidates and I think whoever grabs the opportunities and makes the most of it will wind up being the starter. Both have things they do very well.  Smith has performed well as a Frosh so far and should be number 3.  He has a big upside, IMO.

Wilder?   Smith?    What happened to that Hazlett 3rd QB last year?    And who will be receivers?

Without any roster, some of us are blind.    Who is on this team?

LC's first 3 games are brutal, especially considering the holes we need filled.    Whitworth looks like a tough, tough team.   We all know MH-B has to be a heavy favorite.     Chapman, who knows?     But, I bet they are itching for an upset Saturday.

GT...working on game preview/team preview for blog tomorrow with info you crave.

Agreed that first three games will be brutal on such a young team.  I think the Chapman game is gonna be tight and very competitive.  Buckle up!  Go 'Cats!

LF Cat fans, calm down Chapman will come no where near upsetting the Cats....trust me their O line will not hold up long enough. You will force them to three step drops, press the corners and stop run....game over...They are tiny up front, might be the smallest D3 team on the West Coast. ...they will not be able to run the ball on LF consistently.

Less than two more years of Gavin.

I love it when people underestimate the Panthers. Always a great time hearing bold statements from idiots who have no idea what they are talking about.

"Chapman will come no where near upsetting the Cats"
"Mexico will pay for the Wall"

All fabricated BS.

Hope you all enjoy your time down here for whoever is making the trip - if you need any food recommendations ill happily divulge some of my favorite spots.

Go Panthers.

OCguy...Last visit Cats made to the OC (2014) we escaped in a close one 21-14. Panthers had doubled the Cats TOP and yardage on the ground so don't worry Linfield won't take Chapman lightly and will expect another tough one.

We have too many young/inexperienced guys in key positions to under estimate anyone.

WC11, I know you will.   I am just nervous because the last time we had this many questions was 2006 and that was rough.

I will be at the Chapman game; should be good, but no easy win for LC.

The difference then compared to now is that 2006 was Coach Smith's first year as Head Coach and we're now we're talking about a core staff (Smith, Hire, Vaughan, Rombach, Boehme (since 2011)) that has been together for over a decade now.  This staff knows what they're doing. While I'm expecting some rough spots while this team gels, this roster is loaded with talent.

I liked what I saw at the scrimmage.  :-*

Any thoughts on Whitworth?  Tjhey beat Central 56-13 last Saturday.  Any chance of them taking out Linfield this year?

Whit is a huge threat but it all depends on their defense.  It looks like they kept Central in check. If the defense is that much improved then yes, the Rats will have a legit shot at the 'Cats.

Francoli's, Citrus City Grill and Filling Station are all good options for a sit down dinner in the circle (downtown next to CU). If you are looking for something quicker, Pizza Press and Burger Parlor are good options. Looking forward to the game!
