A Wildcat win.   Yet, that was one of the most lopsided --- but ugly wins I have ever seen.   Linfield looked very, very good on O and D.   But, they continue to shoot themselves in the foot.    Penalties, penalties and more penalties.    Many 15 yarders.    Been a continual problem all year long.

Do this starting next Saturday and it could be a short playoff season.   That would be sad because this defense is outstanding!    Exceptional.

Was very impressed with the super enthusiasm of the Pacific fans!   Good job, Boxers.

All tough games from now on Wildcats.    Bring it all together and eliminate the penalties!

The offense looked complete today from the jump.  The early red zone turnovers hurt but overall there was awesome growth on that side of the ball.

Yes, the penalties sucked but the most disappointing thing about today was Linfield giving up their 1st rushing TD in NWC play this season. I would have loved to see that be a big old zero at then of the year.

Quotest rushing TD in NWC play this season.
Courtesy of penalties.

Personal fouls? Take a look at the last minute of the Case Western-Carnegie Mellon game.

Eliminate those penalties and they would of had that "big old zero".

Looking at the NWC standings, wow!   Willamette 0-9    Hard to believe.    When was the last time that happened?     And the two newcomers, Pacific and George Fox are quite competitive.

So now, the playoffs.    Linfield should have the first game at home.     My bet is it will be Chapman only because it will minimize NCAA travel costs.

I really, really hope we stay in the true West region.   We are not a South team!!    But, the NCAA selection committee makes strange choices, year in and year out.

i think it will be HSU.  Also—the true regions haven't existed for years and they shouldn't because the competitive balance would be off if they did that.... the best we can hope for, in my opinion, is a bracket that doesn't send us to Belton in round 2 if we are fortunate enough to win our first round game.
Go Cats!

According to Willamette's website, it has been playing football since 1894 (with a few seasons missed) and this is its first-ever winless season.

Good game by the Cats. Pacific's starting QB went out early still think it wouldn't have mattered. Wyatt is looking like he is getting comfortable, hopefully his first playoff game will be at home. Thank You Vets.

Pacific, Fox, PLU and the Rats are better teams than lots of the conference title winners who will be in the 'field of 32'.  If the Cats running game and passing game along with our defense plays the way they did yesterday, I like our chances in Game 1 of the playoffs (especially if it happens to be at home).  I believe the offense is far from peaking this season and every playoff game they should do nothing but get better with Wyatt at the helm.  Defenses win championships....and our boys are in a league of their own...in that category!

Trite though may it be " to be the best you've got to beat the best." Not many of us get to go to a Belton game though.
The Crusaders would never beat us 100-0. at least.

George if the NCAA was worried about cost the cats would have never went to Texas last year. The NCAA has more money than they know what to do with.

As per the NCAA constitution, the entirety of Division III gets 3.18% of that budget.

NCAA website (web address below) reports the DIV 3 allocation is $26.2 million. That's a lot of dough.

Strange, though, that the published NCAA numbers do not reconcile. For example, the same website reports that total NCAA revenue exceeds $921 million. If the allocation to D3 were 3.18%, the D3 amount would be approximately $29.3 million.
