Well, RFB, something tells me you follow WC11's blog. He's been telling us since day one the potential.
The penalties though, we fans cannot help there.
That offensive line was the ticket. Best game of the year.
PLUS!  I like how Wilder came in to run for a TD.

Does anyone know what his plans are? I could see him being a minister in a mega church?  ... He'd probably hire DTrain for cow bell in the choir for $289,000 per year.  ;D

Of course I read WC11's blog and watch the videos he puts out. They are great, and Linfield is lucky to have his work promoting the program. Linfield put in a great effort, almost like turning a playoff switch on. The question is will it carry over this week to Belton?

That is a great question. The 'Cats are going to have to play a great game and probably get some breaks to have a chance but I feel much better now than I did just four weeks ago.

This is what playoff football is about. Too bad it had to be this week, but whatever. I just wish all the fans who wanted to be at the game from McMinnville could be there. That would make it even better.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

DOC,

I will concede LF will play MHB closer than Chapman, two and Q is not a bad season.

Less than two more years of Gavin.

I'd jump at that salary...but I think his family has the cow bell position covered.

Scott was very nice to me. Fun to say hello.

Yep- gonna need some breaks this Saturday. If we could somehow get to 21 pts, i would think it'll be a close game.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Kickoffs - as I see it we have 2 options -

#1 - squib kick to the big guy at the 30 and hope that he doesn't turn around and lateral it to Bryce W.
#2 - kick it out of bounds aiming and have the Cru get the ball at the 35.

Little risk associated with option 2 assuming that the kicker can get the ball to go out of bounds from below the 35 of MHB.

Substantial risk with option 1 as the big guy could easily turn around and get it to Bryce W. and or rumble ahead for 10 yards to the 40 or so.

Personally, with the way our D is playing I'd play the odds of giving them the ball at the 35.  We have to face the fact that our kickoff coverage isn't going to be good enough to risk a momentum changing kick return.  Bryce W. has proven that he is a dangerous threat to return kicks.  No need to challenge him.

What we can't do is kick-off the ball deep to him and try to cover it.  That would be a mistake in my opinion.

What an impressive showing by the Cats to hold HSU to 50 meaningful yards while having a balanced offensive attack.  I think in the 2nd half the play calling got a bit conservative in the red zone as we wanted to come away with points.  With the way Warne is kicking the strategy was to make sure and at least get 3 points versus throwing a pick.

I'm very optimistic about our chances on Saturday.  Our D is playing well and seems to match up better with the Cru than last year when they had Blake Jackson at QB.  Our offense is much improved.  I doubt that the run game will be there but at least we now have a legitimate passing attack.  If we can keep them from stopping our run with their front 4 that would be huge.

I can see the Cats going into Texas and getting a W.  Need to limit turnovers, penalties, and kick returns while hoping that the Cru has a lot of both turnovers and penalties and very little returns!

Chances of UMHB having a very off day  :-X

Those defensive backs are going to be the fastest Wyatt has seen since the Oregon All-Star game.

True, but I would be more worried about their front 7 if I was young Wyatt. Better buy your OL some nice juicy steaks this week Wyatt Earp.
