Well all the "experts" say the Cats are going to come away empty handed on Saturday in Belton....these same "experts" said the same about the Cats chances last Saturday  (with one exception)...so let's hope the Cats are up to the task one more time and show the "experts"!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Nice job as always, WC11. Should be a doozy tomorrow.

Current weather forecast for kickoff: Temp 71, sunny, wind from NE at 10. Lovely day for football!

If I had zeeemoney, desertcat, I would send you a Learjet!

I respect the experts, but I have followed the Cats since being introduced to Linfield football when I moved to McMinnville in 1999. There is not a more classy, resilient and resourceful program in the nation. More times than not, the Cats find a way.

I anticipate another classic game between UMHB and Linfield. WC11 summed things up quite well in his preview. I am hopeful and cautiously optimistic. For The CRU I think CR3 and the running game are critically important. If CR3 is making plays with his arm - and legs when needed -  it will certainly help get the running game on track. UMHB's O-line has been banged up most of the season. I'm not real sure of everyone's status this week, so I think we will find out early how effective the CRU line will be against a tough Cat D.

that might be the "experts" but the UMHB fanbase can all tell you we believed that the Cats would come out on top having seen both programs, I had posted they (the cats) were the more put together and cohesive scheme and that showed in the game.

Lets talk the next game this Saturday. Both programs are a near mirror in most cases excepting one, special teams. I would assume Linfield has spent MANY hours on film unlocking that weird on wonderful world and in so doing have schemed to neutralize that aspect of the game. Linfields O line is a bit smoother as a unit while UMHB has some seriously strong talent which helps smooth the not so cohesive points in their O line, I give the lean to Linfield in that aspect, but I have to lean the opposite way concerning the D line and give the Cru the Defensive nod in this game.

So what does that say... Hell I dunno it's going to be one hell of a match.
But let's look at this in a clear light Linfield fans, your a ranked program who has faced two other ranked programs so far and faced the top ranked program once before this season. And Should it be a victory for Linfield then they will again face ranked programs. I do not care if Linfield goes to the Bowl, whoever they would face, in my mind, even if they lose in the bowl they are the Champs and why, look at the gauntlet they have to run to get there. I would say the same for the Cru and same for (to a lesser extent) St. Thomas. This bracket has not three but four top ten programs in their road to the top.

So no matter the outcome, either Cru or Cats BOTH of these programs are premiere, both are worthy of respect, no cruise control for them (well excepting the SCIAC speedbump) I hope for a safe game, a good outcome and should the cats come out on top, from that moment on to the bowl I will be an adopted Cats fan, should you go on you deserve the bowl.

I heard, CalCat. Tough break. I hope today goes much better.

Any reason for the cancellation?

Now I better understand desertcat's post. Nothing has meaning without context.  ;D
