Thanks, 'Cats, for the great season. We'll be back next year!
Two words:  THE STREAK

That was the best D the cats have seen in 26 years too . :'(

Good Lord, their D seemed even faster and better than last year, which is unbelievable, especially considering they lost that All-American D-lineman.

Great season, 'Cats, and this playoff experience will hopefully payoff for a number of FR who will see plenty of time in the years to come.

We will wait to see if this is yet another year we get knocked by the champs or runner-ups.....
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Great year Cats.  A heck of a season and a unique one at that.  Thanks to the seniors for another amazing run.  There's nothing easy about losing and it always hurts more when it happens in the playoffs with so much hope and heart and dedication riding on it.   We lost to a overly talented opponent today and my hats off to UMHB.
The 2017 seniors have created the foundation for what's to come.
Go Cats!

Notes from SID Kelly Bird:

"Saturday's loss marked the Wildcats' first shutout in 16 years and was Linfield's first playoff game in 26 years in which it did not produce points."

Interestingly the last playoff goose egg before THAT game was also 26 years, the 1965 NAIA championship loss to St Johns. Your next one won't be till 2043.

If there exists an NCAA interview with LINFIELD after the UMHB game, please post it.

How was the BBQ in Belton ? Where did LF fans go ? Millers or Schoepf's ...little disappointed with size of group that traveled for LF...I know its expensive out of PDX and the NCAA feed was free.

In regards to the game, wow pretty wide gap between MHB and LF...score could have easily be 40+ to zip, credit to LF kids, they never stopped playing, but the LF program has a ways to go, now that MHB has raised the bar ? I don't know if its is possible to compete against MHB anymore, too bad the west has to go thru them.

Oh, BTW....Did you all see University of San Diego took it to Northern Arizona? congrats to former UR coach Tyler Sutton.  USD looked good.
Less than two more years of Gavin.

Great Season, 'Cats!  Going through 3 starting quarterbacks, all the injuries on the offensive line, etc.

I think the future on offense is very bright. We have our QB for the next three years, the running back depth is going to be even greater next year with two outstanding medical redshirt additions, and our receiver corp is going to be freaking great next season as well.

Obviously the defense needs to be rebuilt but our frosh LB group has the chance to develop into something special (our senior linebackers have told me they're going to be excellent) and we're going to be good in the secondary as well.  Kicking duties should be rock sold next year as well.

Already looking forward to 2018 as the non-conference should be a fun journey.  Go 'Cats!

That was an awesome recap from Coach Smith. Honest and straight forward about his assessment.  Also loved the attendance dig.  ;D

Even as a non Wildcat fan that was a nice interview. What was this talk of "record" NWC attendance at the UMHB home game? I doubt the Catdome holds enough to set a record by a NWC team.

Has to do with questionable  accuracy that GFU reports attendance...it's kind of become a joke.

I don't know what Coach Smith was taking about. George Fox has the best attendance this side of Collegeville. Record crowds, like no one has ever seen before. They are the biggest. Believe me. Tremendous support.  ;)
