Nicely done, RC! Hopefully Linfield his giving you more than a hot dog and a bag of popcorn for the work you do for them.

Thanks RFB!  Looking forward to putting in some highlights of the 'Cats pie-facing some Dawgs this season!

I didn't see any highlights against UMHB in the video. Must have been an oversight.

Linfield roster online now.      Some areas strong; many untested.    First three games will be tough.   But, the coaches always teach them very well.   We should do fine.

LOTS of promise on this roster but they better come correct out of the gate.  That first game is going to be a motherbear with having to drive out to Carroll and the Saints having TWO games under their belt before Linfield's first.  If Linfield can navigate through the first two games and stay healthy in a few key spots, it could be a special year in the 'Catdome.

Interesting Aidan Wilder has gone out to WR.

Be nice if all these freshman lineman stick around and stay healthy for 4 years.

Of all the people on all of these boards, you crack me up the most! You, sir, are absolutely haywire. Seems like you might be off your meds. Don't let them take you back to the Institution. Although you could probably still post from there.
Of course, as is well know on the boards, I'm old. I get mixed up and I forget things. I shouldn't be saying too much about you, not that there's anything wrong with that! And I don't mean that in a bad way!
I think you also need a new picture on your post. You have to be much older now. Whatever!
Best to ya, big guy! Or even little guy. Have to run, my nurse is here. Bye!

Try to focus your beady little eye on the floor and keep your hands in your pockets this time.   ::)

PS.... take a cold shower also.  :P

Carroll falls to 0-2 today...but just barely lost.  Impressive long drive in the final minute fell short or would have pulled off a W.  Should be a good test for Cats as I don't think they're truly an 0-2 team.  Their loss in Week 1 0-19 was to the 20th ranked NAIA team in the country.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Whitworth beat La Verne 38-2. The Leopards didn't look very good. I think for the Pirates we won't know how good they are minus Kolste until the game in 2 weeks against Chapman.

Nervy win for Redlands against George Fox. Redlands was in control the majority of the game, but critical mistakes cost them and kept the game closer than it should have been. A lot to clean up, but a good win against a well coached, upper tier NWC program.
Calcat and I were in attendance.  I agree--Redlands should have won that game a lot easier than they did.  Here's my take:

It was obviously a first game for both teams but Redlands looked more polished and experienced than Fox did.
Fox's defense looked pretty stout against the run for most of the game but Redlands found success throwing the ball for much of the night.
George Fox's offense was pretty vanilla and Redland's D did a nice job of keeping them contained.  Had the Fox QB been a little more accurate on some long throws the game could have been different as the WR got behind Redlands DB several times but either couldn't make the catch or the throw was not where it needed to be.
Redland's kicker had a good leg (as we already knew) but his accuracy was off last night (he barely made one FG that bounced off the post and fell in but he hooked another attempt wide left).  Fox's kicker went down with some type of leg injury and was seen on crutches later.  They had a RB attempt to take over kicking duties but then he was seen limping and holding his calf muscle.

All in all, a pretty good game.  We joke a lot about George Fox attendance numbers but they brought a respectable crowd to this away game.
Go Cats!

Rough start to the season:  Northwest Conference: 2 wins, 3 losses.

And Willamette??   54-7 loss.     Something is seriously wrong in Salem.    Ten years ago they had a great team!    And only four years ago, they upset Linfield in McMinnville.

Thank you Puget Sound and Whitworth for holding up the reputation of the NWC this week.
