Frankie Feaster gets the award for best name.

Especially given the stat category he tops.

What name could be better than I. M. Hipp? Remember him? Can't recall if he was college or pro! 🤔

MUC57, you beat me to it.  He was a running back at Iowa State. Late 70s, early 80s I believe.

I stand corrected. I'll go with MUC57's line and chalk it up to old age. I was only one state and a few years off.

Nice to hear from you on the OAC board. I always laugh when I read your posts. As you know, I am a Linfield fan. It seems strange to not see their name in the playoffs. But, as we say in sports, there"s next year. I think I can still say - Go 'Cats!.
Have a great Thanksgiving. I understand the missions serve a pretty good meal. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Go Raiders! (Had to slip that in)! 🍗 🍷 😃

That name is actually a perfect synopsis of everything the XFL was and was trying to be.

Seventeen years after his failed first attempt at a new pro football league, McMahon is betting $100 million of his own money on a revamped XFL — and on digital video distribution leapfrogging the legacy sports league business tethered to linear broadcast rights.

McMahon, best known as the chairman and CEO (and occasional in-ring wrestler) of WWE, plans to bring back the XFL in 2020. The new league will feature eight teams at launch, playing a 10-game regular season followed by two rounds of playoffs. Participating cities still have to be selected, and players will be paid more to win, an XFL and WWE rep said in a statement. The league will most likely play games on Sundays in the spring when the NFL and college football are dark.

EDIT:  This is a real thing?  I just literally heard of it now when I googled XFL to remember the name of the Chicago team.  But it's real.  McMahon has committed $500m and hired an NCAA exec to the be first new-XFL commissioner (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/23702411/oliver-luck-commissioner-ceo-xfl) and just two weeks ago hire a former Bills GM to run football operations (https://www.wivb.com/news/national/former-bills-gm-whaley-hired-as-xfl-senior-vp/1581593175).

Looks like we'll have some spring games to watch over the Internets in a couple years.
