Linfield needs to recruit some gang members from the midwest on the O and D lines... guys that aren't that big but are mean and strong and can push bigger lineman out of the way using leverage....I haven't seen anyone that is mean and solid since Joe Dominey....

Wisconsin's secret to big linemen.

That guy is not from Wisconsin! As our linemen often say about the guy lining up across from them, "He little..."

Who are you really? Are you a real person? Are you a visitor from somewhere in space? Are you a clone? Do you exist only in our minds?
So many questions, so little time!       ???  :o  :P

Rushing yards - Rowan and Redlands combined = Wildcats gained 14 yards.     Yesterday they rushed for 186 yards.
Anyone know why?       Pacific had poor rushing defense?     Or Linfield concentrated for two weeks on the rushing game?

If we can consistently run the ball against any team, it is so much better for our passing game.    This team, although young, has promise.

Looks like it is Linfield and Whitworth again.
What has happened to PLU?     When was the last time they lost to L&C?
And the situation in Willamette is really hard to fathom.

Pacific is 0-4 and every team has ran wild on them. They are not a good team. Linfield can build off this though as a strong rushing game comes down to mentality and will. They have the horses up front to improve greatly in this area.

What RFB said. Pacific isn't very good. I'm not sure why so many people want to hang on to Pacific's one good season from 5 years ago. They've never finished higher than 4th in the conference outside of the one season they upset more traditional powers who were far from where they had been in the past (Whit, Will, PLU), and finished second.

Willamette might be historically bad, but the quoted questions would be like me asking why Whitworth's defense didn't have 5 interceptions and hold Chapman to 7 points. Did they just focus more on defense in practice over the last two weeks?  ::)

RFB and (509)Rat,

Good points.   (509), looking forward to visiting Spokane and want a much better result than last year.    LF will be the underdog.

RFB, wish you the best against Chapman.    2 weeks ago we spent the afternoon in downtown Redlands.    Very enjoyable downtown.

The NWC must improve.    PLU and Willamette especially.    The tougher this conference is, the better for whoever goes to the playoffs.

Linfield looks to be better up front, though if they don't make the conscious effort to run the football I think Whitworth can neutralize that. Ericksen will have to play a lot better than he has so far this year to beat Linfield, even at home. I guess you could say Whitworth is the "favorite" only because they won last year and Linfield doesn't appear to be any better than they were last year. But I think if Vegas is setting a line it would be something like a -3 thanks to home field, a pick em if it were at a neutral site, and Linfield being a 3 ish point favorite if it's in McMinville.

HSU lost yesterday. Does that make the ASC a 1 bid league assuming UMHB takes care of everyone else in their conference? As long as Chapman and Redlands don't drop any SCIAC games (other than one of em losing the head to head), does the SCIAC get a pool C? Probably depends on who wins between those two and who wins the NWC?

Going to be a great game. Both teams are talented, and the home team usually gets the edge. Redlands will need to play mistake free to have a chance.

Glad you enjoyed downtown Redlands. It has a town square feel with plenty of great places to eat and drink.

I think Linfield should go to D1.... why waste time? WOW!   :o

We could be the first independent small college with 2300 students that wins the Playoffs.... We do it with hard work, effort and GOD!!!...  :-*
