Yes, Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers are a club team. https://www.lcvalleyloggers.com/

Willamette beat them 56-6. https://www.wubearcats.com/sports/fball/2019-20/releases/20190928zda5nb

"All of Lewis-Clark Valley's players are full-time students at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, but the team is not officially part of LCSC. The team is an affiliated member of the NCAA, but games against Lewis-Clark Valley do not count toward NCAA, conference, or team statistics."

Well now, that's just too bad you didn't PM one of us so we could introduce you around.
At The Stagg then.... 😁
Sorry about that ... it would have been great to meet some fellow D3 fans.

An ODAC, D3 and Guilford Quakers fan from NC here.  I'm in Oregon this week visiting family.  We drove to McMinnville from Salem on Saturday to watch the WU Bearcats play the LC Wildcats.  WE enjoyed our lunch at McMenamins downtown and then headed to the game.T

Since I follow D3 pretty closely, I predicted to family a 77-7 Linfield win.  Since Willamette was stopped on 4th down inside the 5, my guess was pretty darn close.  My niece's fiancĂ© and I were predicting how many plays it would take LC to score from scrimmage:  as in 3 plays to cover 63 yards or 4 plays to cover 75.  WU was game and never gave up, but, honestly, LC was never challenged.  All I have to say is Redlands must have brought their A game in September!

Two interesting points:  a female Side Judge in the officiating crew and a successful onside kick by a female Bearcat to start the 2nd half.  LC will most likely win the NWC and be in the playoffs ... again!

Welcome.  Linfield is far better today than a month ago.    Also, Redlands is the only team to do a good defensive job against us.   They deserved to win, despite some questionable officials' calls.

Thanks.  I enjoyed the experience despite the lopsided score.  Sixty-three ... soon to be 64 ... winning seasons in a row is impressive.

What exactly is the difference between a University and a College. Just a name change?

There is a lot of grey area. But typically universities have a wider overall scope and graduate programs - with colleges primarily awarding associates and bachelors degrees. Whitworth changed their name somewhat recently. In this case I think Linfield is wondering whether they've outgrown the colllege tag. They don't need to add any programs to do so - and wearing a Belushi Animal House sweatshirt would still be appropriate.
Boston University and Boston College are perfect examples of the gray area ... both are major research institutions offering advanced degrees.  There are many examples where changing the name is quite pretentious, especially for a 700-800 student school offering an online or night program MBA or MDiv.

A college in Australia is either a high school or a private dorm at university (https://www.colleges.unimelb.edu.au/).

Did the young guy in the suit tell you that one 50 years ago?

Yes, one of the Hawaiian kids at LINFIELD had the tee shirt. Died laughing

ScoreBoard only lists Audio for the Linfield/PLU game..... but Video is also available....

Would love to see an old-fashioned Linfield-PLU battle tomorrow.    But, do not see that happening.     PLU has a long road back to where they were in the 80s and 90s.

Does PLU still embrace EMAL, or have they jettisoned it with no more Westerling's leading the program?

I was wondering the same.  I used to love playing the Frosty-coached teams.
