AFCA coaches poll is more accurate by ranking Linfield and not ranking Redlands, the team with the same number of losses which Linfield lost to head to head? 

They have a more accurate algorithm and they actually look at stats plus they have human beings voting.

The Willamette vs. Lewis & Clark stats are ... interesting.

And thanks to all who had suggestions for more entries on the Linfield vs. Willamette rivalry chronology - I'll have some additions next fall.

Trust me, it was weirder to see it all in person.

The first quarter looked a lot like the Bearcats were still shellshocked from the beatdown in McMinnville the previous weekend, but after that, it felt like they settled in and gave L&C a decent fight.  If Castanada hadn't thrown a pick six, and a Bearcat PAT in the third quarter hadn't been blocked and run back for two, the game might have played out a little differently at the end.  Obviously I haven't seen PLU yet, but I'm amazed that L&C beat the Lutes by two touchdowns on the road.

Props to junior wideout Max Andersen, who provided a bright moment in an otherwise tough season for Bearcat football by setting a school record with 14 catches for 247 yards and 3 TDs.  That was extremely fun to watch.

Almost Halloween so he is done with Rat football....he been seen hanging out at "The Whitworth Fieldhouse" otherwise he would turn into a pumpkin.
